Has a team traded multiple firsts since the nets rule was introduced? Mavs only have 2 firsts in next 5 years, and now can't trade any until 2025.

Mavs have KP’s Bird Right’s and will have over $50 mil in cap space in 2020 when KP is an UFA. He’s not going anywhere.Comment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Here’s a crazy thought. The Mavs now have 2 franchise players. With that in mind how crazy is it to think that the Mavs would have an outside chance at luring KD to Dallas? He’d fit perfect between Luka and KP. He would have a legit shot at a title. It would improve his reputation because he would be coming to a team that would be trying to beat LA and Golden State. He also likely still has a large fan base from his days in OKC.
I know it would be a huge long shot but I my opinion you have to at least pitch the offer to him.Comment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
If he wasn't considering it he'd ink that 5/$158m extension tonight. There is absolutely no reason for him to accept the qualifying offer unless he wants to look at other destinations. He's turning down an offer to make $27.5m next year in order to make $7.5m, coming off an ACL injury. You don't take a risk like that unless you're unhappy with your situation."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Not unless he knows the knee won’t be an issue. There is no way he’s unhappy with the situation considering he gets to play with a really good friend in Luka and his childhood idol in Dirk. Not to mention a championship caliber coach in a very stable organization. Basically the Mavs are the anti-Knicks. KP is loving life right now!Comment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
Looks like the Mavs lowered the protections to the hawks to get it the convey this year.
The 2023 pick was suppose to be unprotected to the hawks if not conveyed and now its going to NY

Apparently multiple offers were given, one that includes the one I posted earlier where all of Kuz, Ingram, Ball, Zubac are going out.
I've saw the Phoenix "rumors" from the Phoenix side ever since Lonzo's camp said he preferred a third team. With Phoenix in the mix there are lots of possibilities in terms of money matching.. Could even rid NO of the Hill contract.
Phoenix would obviously keep this years first, but if they offered next years to the Pelicans that would likely be as enticing as any pick they would get otherwise. Suns would likely let a pick go to have Ball, Ayton, Booker, a top 3 pick this year, and whoever of Bridges/Jackson/Oubre/Warren they are able to keep in this trade.Comment

I think he's bluffing and will sign an extension, but if he actually does sign the qualifying offer its panic timeOriginally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Exactly....that's why I'm not even burned up by this....I've seen this s*** from the Knick front office damn near 40 years, going back to the Marvin Webster contract.
Twenty years from now, the younger Knicks fans here at OS will be beaten down and jaded like me, lol.Comment

Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread
3 1st rounders to the Bulls for Eddy Curry. Sprewell traded for Keith Van Horn. Antonio McDyess..the list goes on and on.
KP is only 23 and he probably will heal from this ACL as other players have done. But at 7'3..for how long? Luka, KP and no cap space in the West? Good luck with that.
At this point everything depends on what happens during the draft lottery. If it's not the #1 pick then this is 2010 Part II. If it's Zion (knowing us it won't be), then those 2 max slots will have some value.
KP's brother and Mark Cuban is a match made in hell. They'll dangle that qualifying offer over Cuban's head for as long as they can.Comment
