When you're the Pistons and you luck out and get the number 2 pick based on a trade you did like 5 years prior (i think it was for Otis Thorpe? maybe not im not sure but i think it was like 5 years ago) and you win the league title you can afford to bring him along slowly

As a Piston fan I wish he played more too to see what he has but you can tell he's just not ready. Also as other people have said they have mad depth up front.He did play during the BW suspension because they were short upfront due to injury. I think they are doing the right thing. The reason Joe D took him is because years down the road he could be the best center in the league. Big men are few and far between, he was a good pick. He also according to everything I read is getting better which is good. They just cant lose him to free agency when hes up but Joe D will do something. I imangine that he will get more minutes next year because I think Olden will be gone.

According to what Hubie has said after leaving the Grizzlies, I think we may have taken Wade if we had the second pick (not Melo) but if we had had the first pick then we would have LBJ.
