Yes, measure up to Barkley being Barkley. One could envision Shaq trying so hard to replicate what Barkley does and then getting all butt hurt when he realized he couldn't. Which to his credit he realized it before making his decision and going to TNT. Shaq chose being a role guy over being the main guy, good job by him putting his ego aside.

Yeah. Shaq is cool when the guys around him keep him corralled. Put him in with another team and he'll just run loose. That happened about a month ago during college basketball season. I felt bad for Candace lol.

Interesting comments. I will say this for ESPN, I can handle Max Kellerman's takes a lot more than anyone else they usually have talking NBA and basketball isn't even Max's strong suit! Totally agree about the TNT guys, it's more of a comedy show and they keep Shaq from completely embarrassing himself but they do bust out some knowledge every now and then.
I happen to watch a little bit of NBA TV every once in a while and while it's clearly the weakest of the league owned networks I do find that their analysts are of the "grown folks" variety. Their views aren't always the greatest but most of them have been associated with the game for such a long time that you have to at least LISTEN to what they're saying even if you disagree.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I never predicted this series and I wont but I did say quite some time ago that Hayward coming on right before playoffs made them a dangerous team. Kyrie surrounded by good shooters is good for Celtics bad for everyone else. I did say I had Boston going deep which is pretty vague.

I kept telling folks once Boston 'figures it out'(working Kyrie & Hayward back in the lineup), they're extremely dangerous. What I saw yesterday was a clinic!Comment

On ESPN, out of their announcers and commentators I do like Jeff Van Gundy. But then he is paired with Jackson (meh) and Breen (ugh).OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

ESPN/ABC commentators for me are average at best, but I like TNTs way more. It sucks TNT doesn't get rights to the NBA Finals.
NBC had best Finals coverage. Marv Albert calling games, and I liked Ahmad Rashad as well (he hosted Inside Stuff for many years as well)Comment

While they would be righteously mocked today, I LOVED the analysis of Bill Walton and Steve "Snapper" Jones. Those two were like a comedy team calling the games usually with Marv Albert or Dick Enberg on the PBP.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I still believe this squad is different, but y'all would definitely fall into that 6% that blows it. #justraptorsthingsComment
