Go ahead and throw Ibaka in there as well. He never has a good playoff run either. It's been 6-7 years now since he had like 2 good games against San Antonio.

He's going to hear from people when he shrinks like a pea when it matters, especially when it's every single year.

Being 30 has nothing to do with it. Mentally hes one of those dudes who get tight when pressure is on.

That's why nobody cares about this team during the regular season.

I'm not defending his poor play or the fact that he's severely overpaid, but his age and lack of size are a big factor. He's lost a step and is 5 or 6 inches shorter than everyone on the opposing starting line up. Again, I'm not defending him at all just saying that this is who he is and he won't be getting better (too old/small).

And, VanVleet is in the Patty Mills mold of PG's (he's a much better passer, tho) who should ONLY HAVE A LIMITED ROLE (sorry, I got upset thinking about Patty's role on the Spurs) and should not be the 6th man. Unfortunately, they dumped the PG/combo guard that had size and athleticism to get a declining Marc Gasol. And seems like Nurse unwilling or too "inexperienced" (read: stupid) to give McCaw or Lin a chance.

Overrated low post defender (Embiid abusing him like a stepchild) and relies too much on his jumpshot to score.

          You're right about Nurse

He did the same with Delon Wright too, which is weird that they'd trade him then go out and get Jodie Meeks lol.

I think Powell is playing out of position. He's more of a 2 than a 3

Patty Mills is way better and smarter than Van Vleet honestly.

So lets say Toronto loses either this round or the next and Lowry ends the playoffs around the same he is playing now. Would they try and trade him and what do you think they could get back ?

Nothing you have to ride this out. We cant afford to keep giving up picks in salary dumps. I think almost every team is set for pg.. Orlando? Take Ross back lol I dont know again I think we are stuck with him. Thank ****ing god it was only 3 years and not 5.

Lowry sucking in the playoffs is "water is wet" territory...there's not really a "told you so" to grasp here....this should be a given, lol. Dont take the fun out of annual Lowry slander please.

That said, it's not the end of the world for the Raptors..they're just a win away from regaining home court vs. what has been a pretty inconsistent Sixer team.

It's too bad the Raptors cant fully implement Gasol into their gameplan at this point...he should definitely be more featured than a spot up shooter...

The intriguing part of Lowry’s playoff “struggles” is that he does struggle in opening games of the playoffs. Including this season, Lowry is a combined 11-50 from the field for 33 points in the last five years. Also, he’s 2-27 from three-point range. With Lowry on the roster, the Raptors have won just one of their six round-one first games. Although that stat is no uglier than his shooting, it speaks to just how important Lowry is to team success. However, moving forward from that first game of the first round, he excels. He bounces back for a strong second game. In Lowry’s time as a Raptor, the team has won five of its six first-round, second-game matchups.

Toronto's bench going AWOL is one of the most interesting developments of this round. Lowry is going to Lowry but their bench is averaging 10 PPG. They averaged 36.2 PPG in the regular season. Obviously rotations shorten in the playoffs but Toronto is going to need to get a lot more out of their bench.

This. Gasol is a lot better than they're making it seem. They aren't making full use of him at all.
