Just a full breakdown of his game over the last 5 years without any takes or hyperbole.

Mainly asking because I want to see if it can be done but I’m also curious to see when/where/why the decline started, especially the latter.

This year was absolutely the decline. last year and the year before were his best statistical seasons of his career. Why I think because he was never very good at getting to the rim hes not overly fast and not a great shooter by any means. Weight and injuries. Raptor fans joke about fat Lowry all the time.

So anyway, some of the defensive assignments like putting Lowry on Tobias Harris is ineffective and weird.

Playing players out of position and not knowing how to stagger lineups makes Nick Nurse look like the assistant coach he is.

The man is getting outcoached by Brett Brown like he's a wizard.

Don’t love Kawhi on Simmons either.. I guess maybe you have to, but that means Kawhi isn’t on any of their 3 best scorers.

I have to agree... Honestly Simmons isn't a threat from outside and Philly is hiding him with no resistance

Raptors using their 01 playoff script lol

-Lower seed heading into gm3 has series tied 1-1. They win in gm3 at home by 20+ to take a 2-1 series lead.
-Raptors star player has 113 points through 3 games
-Raptors have 290+ pts through 3 games
-Raptors have 7 more fouls than 76ers
-Raptors star carrying team as much as he can. Bench not scoring


By this logic, Raptors will be playing their bench a combined 20 minutes in gm4. All starters will go 40+ in gm3. Series will be tied 2-2 after this.

Yeah, I remember seeing stretches of his play looking like a decent PG that year.

Even the year before he got paid(Contract Year, I know)he was still producing. Somewhere along the way and for whatever reason, he just started declining.

Lowry's playoff stock is so low, even if Raptors rebuild next year, would any team even give up a 1st for him knowing how he won't help in playoffs? At best, maybe a Lowry + 2nd in the 30s for a 1st in the 20s?

Raptors this offseason could be the biggest change in the NBA. Kawhi could leave, Ujiri could leave too, and a new person in charge would want to start fresh (trying to move Lowry,Ibaka and maybe Gasol).

Crazy to think all that could happen with a 2nd round exit(even if they win 3 games). But losing in finals(even losing in a sweep) could result in none of above happening.

I don't see Bobby Webster leaving unless MLSE looks elsewhere for a big name basketball ops guy to oversee the organization. I know he's persona non grata but I wouldn't mind Colangelo coming back as a czar who consults with a GM.

No way BC should be back. And after the things he "burner account" said about Ujiri, I dont think he'd want to be part of organization even with Masai gone.

BC era was a needed change, but then he just went all Euroball on Raptors.

Let's not forget that he also had Bargnani and Gay on Raptors with their big money deals.

This. Gasol is a lot better than they're making it seem. They aren't making full use of him at all.

Joels not a poor defender or anything, but Horford gave him some issues down in the post in last years series...I could see Gasol doing the same...but it could be a situation where theres simply not enough time to implement that gameplan into the offense.
