The Knicks and owner Jim Dolan were not prepared to offer Kevin Durant a full max contract due to concerns over his recovery from the Achilles injury, league sources tell me and @wojespn. Knicks officials are in Los Angeles tonight, meeting with free agents such as Julius Randle.

      Holy ****ing ****.

Noel staying in OKC. Thank god, cuz if the getting rid of Adams rumors are true, we need at least one legit center.

Hawks are interested in Favors and that would be a perfect fit on a 2/3 year deal assuming the $ isn’t crazy. He is a Georgia kid and would start at C

I think it makes more sense for the nets to gamble on KD because they have Kyrie as a security blanket. For the Knicks, there's a lot more to lose if KD never returns to form.

I'm just in shock. I don't know how to feel about it. I can't believe we even had the stones to do it, much like with the KP trade.

I hate that Ramona tweet, and Twitter. I need details. Was Dolan actually involved in the decision or did Mills/Perry say this doesn't make sense for us and he went along with it? They know they can throw that name out there and people will react to it.

Let's goo! I'm happy with this. I like him and Mitchell in the front court

This isn't a bad move by any means but it just feels underwhelming. I can't fault the Knicks great contract and a decent young player (except for defense). Looks like they'll play it smart and just roll for next year (unless they somehow get Wiggins)
