Cris Carter said this morning that Kawhi just started the process yesterday morning, not Sunday, and don't expect a decision until July 5th or later. Does say it sounds like it's the Lakers at this point.

I hope Cousins can regain form, but I'm actually not surprised on this based on how he looked in the playoffs. Hopefully for his sake it was just that he needs more time to recover, but teams will likely have reservations on if they want to take that risk while other guys are still out there.. He looked less serviceable than Kanter on defense, and wasn't rebounding or finishing as well either.. Kanter just signed for 5 mil a year, so these Cousins rumors don't shock me, at least for this season until teams know...

For me it doesn't really matter if Kawhi goes to Lakers. But part of me wants him to go to Clippers or Raptors, just for parity. I don't think him going to Lakers is a lock for how it has been for GS. But we would hear all year how LAL are the favorites. If he goes to another team, this will feel like the most open we have seen since MJ initially retired. We wouldn't really see a "superstar" team for essentially 2 years since next year's class is considerly weaker. We seen great teams, but not have to deal with we pretty much at least one team who will be in the finals if healthy

I just don’t want it to take until Thursday or Friday. My hope is either later today or Wednesday. Hopefully he had both LA meetings yesterday and is having the Raptors meeting today. Hopefully it only takes him a day to make his mind. He is the last big domino. Once he signs, the rest of the 2nd and 3rd tier guys should quickly latch on wit other teams
