Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I seen the speculation about Beal and Miami. But what does Miami have to offer. Past year or 2, they have been trading off 1st round picks. I'm not sure what year in the next 4 years they have their 1st round pick. They don't really have young assets to build around either.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Dallas pulled out so Miami moved Whiteside to Portland and then flipped Harkless to LAC so they had enough money to space to sign Butler.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Is it bad that i consider that this man could be our starting stretch four next season
He showed a lot of promise last year though, really good shooter with a good skillset. Ingles and Bogdanovic would close games I would think, but I could see us making Ingles a sixth man and starting Niang at the four

According to Woj, the market for Demarcuz Cousins is dead.
He may not even get a MLE...Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
He may not be a star anymore but he is an above average player, at least he was on his limited time on the floor last year, inspite his limitations.
The off season will help getting back his form, plus is just a matter forgetting what he was, realizing his current strengths and weaknesses and gameplan to maximize them, as with any player really.
He should at least get an MLE level contract offer (less than 10M I belive) by some of the teams with capspace this year.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
That's ridiculous. He was a defensive liability but you can blame a lot of that on conditioning...dude had no off-season and then not enough games to get in a groove...then an injury. He was still clearly an offensive asset. Someone is gonna get a steal when they sign him for less than the MLE.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Might as well go back to Golden State.
And that’s the first time I’ve heard of Beal joining Butler in Miami. Last Wizards player I heard that was “rumored” to go to Miami was Wall and that was during the season before he got hurt again.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
As for the GM search....
FIRE ERNIE
Wait. Oh. Something happens after that? Well ****. We've been clamoring for over a decade. You think we had a post-Ernie plan, too?
Seriously, though. It's been rough AF watching our top candidate position the Jazz into a favorable position to come out of the West. He was the most realistic get to me. When they started fishing for Ujiri it was a Hail Mary. There are still candidates available, but I'm OK sticking with Mr. Interim rather than getting Danny ****ing Ferry.
I thought they did well with their picks in the draft. They aren't a FA destination for obvious reasons and Ernie left them with no assets to make any moves with. Everyone they brought in during the season is leaving as far as I know.
