This depth stuff is ridiculous because at the end of the day they enter every playoff series with the 3 best players on the court and the team they play against‘s best player is the fourth best player in the series. Dudes get in here trying to use Golden State as an example of what happens when you don’t have depth as if ANY team in the league is gonna win a title when 3 starters go down in the postseason. Nobody is recovering from that. If anything GS is the proof of the power of 3 or more superstars being on the team at once.

Cut the crap about all this. You can sit Kawhi 10 games out of the year because you STILL have LeBron and AD for those 10 games. You can then give LeBron 10 games out of the year because you can play Kawhi and AD and be fine. You can give AD his 10 and run with LeBron and Kawhi.

That’s not even touching the fact that y’all talked up Kuzma and keeping him through this entire AD farce since February. Him and two of those dudes plus scrubs is more than enough to get in the playoffs which is all you need to do. Y’all in here talking like they’ll be scrapping for the 8th seed with Kawhi as if GS hasn’t just spent 3 *** **** years dominating the league with KD and Curry missing games all year with that garbage bench everybody was killing them for. So miss me with this depth garbage trying to play it off like the 3 of them together isn’t just as unfair as what GS just was.

    Yup

I had a post about this same thing where I referenced all the "super teams"' that have been formed in the last decade... Celtics. Heat. Cavs. Dubs.

Every time "depth" was brought up as an Achilles heel for them. Every single time.

But yet...All of them went to the championship every year and all of them won a championship.

Don't know why that gets forgotten so easily.

As I mentioned in that same post, depth is more important for average teams with average talent. We have precedent that shows us just that. Lol

Part of what appealed to the Warriors about Willie Cauley-Stein, I'm told, is his pick-and-roll ability. Personnel will force them to run more this upcoming season. WCS can operate up top with both Steph Curry and -- especially when Curry/Draymond sit -- D'Angelo Russell.

You gotta see KAT asking for a trade at some point right?

I love this pickup. Another quality pickup for cheap. It's shocking that he can only get a little above vet minimum.

And players like him are still in the league. Now that's shocking. He was supposed to be beta Chris Bosh. He, not even that. Yeah, he's only 23 years old. He getting to that point.

Literally not a single person said this trio couldn't/wouldn't go on to win/compete for a ring though. It was just pointed out that the depth will likely be weak. King's rant on it was a bit overblown in context to the other posts. Golden State had depth comments all year, they still made the finals. Nobody has said or even insinuated that this team couldn't do the same. This talk of them barely making an 8th seed, or not competing for championships was literally brought up by nobody other than King in his own post.

I was thinking that this morning. Wiggins is failing. Butler screwed them up mentally. A brand new young coach. Looks good.

Damn. Teams will find a way I guess. Cauley-Stein is a really solid pick up or them. What becomes of Cousins at this point though?

From Danny Green's IG, he's narrowed it down to 3 teams. I'm thinking he ends up with Dallas

True, I just can't imagine he would have singed for that little. I mean this is going to be like a 5 mil a year deal.. Even 34 year old Taj Gibson is getting 10 a year.

Maybe a bit. But the point remains.

The repeated questioning of depth. And citing it as a weakness as if it's going to negate how great a trio of Davis, Leonard and LeBron would be.

It's always been silly to me. We look at teams depth or talent while basically ignoring that the three stars ARE PART OF THAT TEAM and are part of this "depth".

It's like those silly arguments people had about the make up of LeBron's team where they say, "If you take LeBron off, they're not that good."

Like...what kind of argument is that? Lol

I'd love him on LAL but they can't pay him and he's indicated he wants to get paid. Dallas and Toronto can pay him much more.
