In a different life, I was going to be a surgeon. I hurt my knee in HS. I also smashed my ankle a few years later. Got the pins and screws to prove it. The swelling needs to go down before you can get cut. Can cause more problems in the healing process if the swelling doesn't go down. Depending on how the swelling goes down. The doctor won't touch you. Especially if you're looking for quick healing and long term health.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
The combination of the injuries and the behavior he has exhibited in the past will make most teams extremely wary. It doesn't matter if he's been chill the last couple of years, his reputation still is one of potential volatility.
He could be that dude who just wants to play some ball, cash his checks, and not really stress too much if he doesn't win.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Maybe a bit. But the point remains.
The repeated questioning of depth. And citing it as a weakness as if it's going to negate how great a trio of Davis, Leonard and LeBron would be.
It's always been silly to me. We look at teams depth or talent while basically ignoring that the three stars ARE PART OF THAT TEAM and are part of this "depth".
It's like those silly arguments people had about the make up of LeBron's team where they say, "If you take LeBron off, they're not that good."
Like...what kind of argument is that? Lol
I do think the with/without you argument can be a strong indicator of how much impact a player has for their team though. Like yeah in that sense LeBron is part of the team, you can still use that logic to determine a good chunk of his impact though.Comment

Golden State getting DLo and WCS was huge for them.. they should be right back in the mix next year.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
It’s not about whether you play 8 guys or 10 guys though. That’s not the point anybody is trying to make. It’s about what they do. The main reason the Bucks struggled was because Bledsoe went from looking like an All-Star to a guy Toronto was leaving wide open like he’s Andre Roberson. Same could be said about Toronto’s struggles in earlier rounds when Van Vleet was awful.
It’s not about having 10 guys to play, it’s about guys 4-7/8 not being *** in the games that matter. That’s why even with KD/Steph/Klay guys like Green, Iggy, Livingston were always massively valuable.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Literally not a single person said this trio couldn't/wouldn't go on to win/compete for a ring though. It was just pointed out that the depth will likely be weak. King's rant on it was a bit overblown in context to the other posts. Golden State had depth comments all year, they still made the finals. Nobody has said or even insinuated that this team couldn't do the same. This talk of them barely making an 8th seed, or not competing for championships was literally brought up by nobody other than King in his own post.
I mean the whole discussion started from someone saying signing Kawhi will backfire because they’ll lack depth which had many likes and people replying seemingly in agreement. Saying it’ll backfire and bringing up their injury history after talking about them having to play big minutes to compensate from their lack of depth around them is basically insinuating it won’t work out lol.
It’s kind of obvious they won’t have the depth other teams do, but it’s also not needed. In the playoffs rotations are shortened anyway and in the regular season I’m sure Vogel will give them the rest they need.
