It's not really a widely known thing, but when Usage Rate first came around, it factored passing ability into the calculation; that's no longer the case. Usage Rate is purely about how often you shoot the ball or turn it over, so it's not exactly surprising or even potentially even alarming that a PG like Lonzo is absurdly low.

Nets don't offer RHJ the QO so he will be a UFA.

Beal is just about to turn 26. Obviously depends on the price involved but it's very unlikely that whoever they take with the #4 pick ends up being anywhere near as good as Beal and Beal is also one of those guys that is a good fit on basically any team.

Without knowing what New Orleans might give up, it's hard to say whether or not it makes sense.

I remember the Lakers trading ShaQ so I understand the feeling of losing a star player. I truly believe Ingram is gonna be nice..like a DeRozan with a higher ceiling. At 21 he didn't need LeBron to help him score. Dispite him and LeBron's games not meshing well, B.I still put up good numbers. If Zo can stay healthy, with his IQ,game pace and defense you'll see why most Lakers fans like him.(Just make your free throws!!) Them along with the 4th pick I think the Pels will be fun to watch next year.

Man I can't with these posts and the other fans who clamor for freaking D'Lo and Julius Randle. Y'all really believe all those guys that were drafted by the Lakers were actually gonna win a title together someday with Luke as the coach, don't you?

Also, there's a lot of rumblings that D'Lo may become the newest member of #ValleyBoyz. That would at least solve our PG issue. I'm not crazy about D'Lo but beggars can't be choosers and no big names ever comes to PHX, so I'll take this.

The Bucks are looking to trade draft picks to move off Snell and Ersyn. They both have 2 years remaining so I don't see how they can trade them without attaching a 1st round pick to it. They already have 0 picks incoming and a ton of draft picks outgoing.

I'm totally down to move Snell. I'd rather just keep Ilyasova though; he's a legitimately good role player still. I suppose if it means keeping Mirotic and or Brook, I'm fine with moving Ersan, but if the plan is to let Mirotic walk anyways, losing Ilyasova for essentially nothing would be a pretty big loss.

As you mentioned, the assets we can attach to move Snell at this point is very very limited. Doubly frustrating that we might attach one of our few assets to move him just to lessen the luxury tax bill for the owners; it won't open up any actual cap space to sign anyone.

According to Shams the Wizards FO (which is currently being run by interim President and who will in all likelihood continue to run things) is adamant about building around Beal.

I feel RHJ can be a solid contributor for a contending team if he can remain healthy. He gives defensive versatility and able to switch onto multiple positions. I can see him doing a 1 year prove it deal. Off the bench, he can help a contender

I think the 'gave up too much' is in regards to the draft compensation. The players? Meh. There was literally no other deal offered if I'm not mistaken. Confirmed that the Knicks didn't offer and there was only rumors about the Cs not giving up Tatum.

AD played 75 games per season the last 2-3 years. We also know that the Pelicans have literally the worst training staff in the league.

Yea they gave up to much has 100% to do with lack of draft protections, swaps, not having control of your pick till 2026 and the timing costing them a max player.

It does factor in team minutes, the players minutes, and team shots.. So it can give an estimate of how many shots were taken while that player was on the floor even it he didn't take the shot, it's just not going to credit that player for making a pass that led to the assist any more than it does a player standing in the corner during that same play. The biggest flaw overall with the stat. A large reason guys like Jordan and Kobe dominate usage is they dominated the teams shots.

Which now that we have not only assists but the ability to track passes and touches, and time of possession, it would be nice to get some sort of new overall advanced stat thrown in with that group to paint a better picture.

"Rumors" that the Lakers want to bring back Rondo as well.. Makes sense if it's one of the minimum spots, but I don't think he's worth their MLE or bi-annual exception.. They would have to miss out on quite a few options first IMO.
