Pelicans have about 30 million in cap room and need a C, could be them.

You literally have guys who will ruin the perception of their "legacy" by half the league's casual fan base to put themselves into situations that Kyrie has been in and the dude just doesn't want any part of it. Like I've said a few times, I wouldn't sign him and never see him changing his ways to benefit anyone outside of Kyrie.

Russ has a bad rap around the league with some fans but he is the most loyal guy in the NBA and as a Thunder fan I am thankful for that....I would want no part of Kyrie.

Bros, I'm dying; did you guys catch this clip of what people believe to be Kyrie calling into a radio show defending himself with a fake voice? Like he's doing the radio version of a KD burner account! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

          I would take a huge bet that's really him![emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I hold none of that against Kyrie. We have all disagreed with management and how things were run at some point at our place of employment. I personally would never choose to live in Boston. He never asked to play for the Celtics. Go play where you want. Exercise your first crack at free agency.

When you’re so self absorbed that it feeds your unwillingness to accept accountability for anything is where my beef lies.

If it wasn't Jackie Mac, I'd give this little credibility with the way she reported it.

I also think the Celtics let Kyrie take too much heat for this season when it wasn't really all on him like theyre making it out to be.

My money is on the Clippers. Though, Al on that Pelicans squad would be interesting.

As pointed out on r/NBA, we still don't know who the regular season MVP was...what a f'n joke and really no one cares at this point anymore.

We also don't know things like most improved or coach of the year.

Criticize Raptors move last year all people want (although nobody should anymore since it paid off better than anyone imagined), but they did fire coach of the year. But because of awkward timing of the award, Casey accepted coach of the year as Raptors coach AFTER he was fired.

I said it before, NBA awards should happen earlier. During the break between end of regular season and start of playoffs or something like that. Free agency should start sooner, and then the NBA draft happens AFTER that.

Know what your team has before drafting guys to fit in that team. And also better than having half the draft class drafted by teams they're not playing for.

Honestly I pretty much forgot about the NBA awards. I don't see the point of waiting until after the draft, to announce REGULAR season awards. Like cima said, I don't really care about it since the season is over. As stated above make it immediately after the regular season is over. That way it is still revelant. Plus I think it can fuel players or even coaches in the playoffs. Like if someone misses out on MVP or DPOY, they might take it up a notch. The award show is this upcoming Monday. I'm looking for to Free Agency not the awards.

I agree that Free Agency should start before Draft. You would see teams making more logical choices in both FA and draft. Fill your needs in FA, so you don't have to reach or force a pick in the draft. But I don't know about making Free Agency sooner. First Monday of July is a good date(even though they moved it to 6pm day). Unless the finals is a sweep or 5 games, it leaves almost 2 weeks between Finals and FA. So unless you want to move it up a week, then I'm fine where it is. But definitely moving the draft back. Move it back 2-3 weeks to the middle of July. So teams have 2-3 weeks to focus on FA then do the draft. Just push back the Summer League to the week after

Tony Jones: "Hearing Bobby Portis has significant interest in coming to the Utah Jazz. Portis is a restricted free agent for the Washington Wizards. He’s a power forward/center who is a good perimeter shooter. Eight days until free agency starts"

A frontcourt rotation of Favors, Gobert, and Portis would be pretty solid.

I feel the interest in DLo for the Lakers is based on the Lakers(Or Media) feeling like they aren't getting up to that 32 mil cap space slot. This feels like their desire to bring in another star level player. So this is the lower tier max level player they can go after since it is very unlikely they will get to the 32 mill slot.

I still feel like depth is still the best option. Part of going after that max player was getting several 2nd round picks and other teams getting the bench players they have. But that didn't happen. But do feel DLo can be a good fit. As a combo guard who possesses good shot creating and playmaking, he does fit alongside others. They would definitely need a wing defender. But does DLo want to come back. Being traded from LA allowed him to groom into the player he is today. But the situation is obviously different from 2 years ago
