That realgm story says Toronto would've gotten Kawhi to stay.

They tried to trade for Paul George but wanted to throw in RWB, but wanted Siakim, Lowry, either Gasol or ibaka and some picks

Who knows if it's actually true though. And by couple of picks, I'd imagine it'd be their 1st for next number of years.

All guys could leave after 2021 and Raptors would have no players, prospects or pick every other year.

Probably would've been like the Nets gamble that didn't pay off, except George and Westbrook better than Pierce and KG. If it works then great. If not, then you screwed yourself for next decade(if not for KD and Kyrie signings, Nets still wouldn't have recovered from that deal)

The Logo is a basketball genius. He’s been integral in ruining my life for the past five years but I have an unbelievable level of respect for him. 9 time champion and I’d love for him to make it to 10 before he bows out.

Let’s not forget the first ever Finals MVP too. Dude who played so well in the 69 Finals they made an award for him.

My Houston Take: DM tried like hell to shop CP3 throughout the league, but his ******* really gave him the 40+ million at age 37 and now he has to rue the day he tried to run the league.

No one has a higher opinion of himself than Morey, yet no one is constantly more disappointing at his job. He ran that team into the ground with his terrible cap management and they have no wiggle room to do anything.

A chance to get George, Kawhi and RWB should definitely be a priority when its hard to get free agents to that town.

Yeah I was asking about HOU a couple days ago along with OKC.

I guess OKC was working on blowing it up, while Morey is looking like a poor man's Danny Ainge right now.

I agree with everything until the last sentence. I wouldn’t say he ran it into the ground but he did put himself all in on that deal which is something that a lot of these so called analytics people don’t do.

He has and should be thanking James Harden for bailing him out back in 2012.

Nobody is acting like GS is dead, y’all just talked about Lakers/Kawhi for the last week that they got left out of any convo on here, lol.

Houston on the other hand ain’t going to no WCF next year. And I’ll gladly take any wagers on that. Assuming that they’ll bring back the same team, you’re bringing back guys that you don’t even want after trying to trade them for someone who wasn’t even a guarantee to come to your team(Butler). Your starting backcourt is beefing and expensive and nobody(as of now)wants to take CP3 and his contract despite his talent.

They have too many questions to answer, compared to the other Top 7 teams in the West.

Which reminds me: Damn King, I should’ve took that bet last year about saying KD would leave this offseason. [emoji2365]

Surely someone gives him a shot. He’s too talented to not be a decent bench scorer.. especially if you’re paying him like he’s your 9th-10th guy on the bench. Though same could be said for Melo as well.

Scoring/shooting is just so replaceable in today’s NBA landscape. It’s almost every player on the floor every night is a gifted scorer or shooter.. the guys who get by on volume only with little help elsewhere just aren’t coveted as much anymore. Just look at Andrew Wiggins and his perceived value..
