Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Don’t know that it’s necessarily the Lakers fault.. can’t control when a 15+mil a year guy goes and signs for basically the minimum lol.
Not sure if his agent is just awful or he really wanted to try to win a ring with GS..

Sources: Warriors are waiving guard Shaun Livingston, who is guaranteed $2M of his $7.7M salary for season. Livingston, 33, is determined to continue playing and becomes one more valuable free agent candidate for contenders. He’s won three NBA titles and reached five Finals.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Trey Lyles is a huge, huge downgrade but I don't see any other options for the Spurs.
Sucks that Morris is reneging on a deal that could be mutually beneficial, but it has been happening a lot the last few summers (DeAndre, Bjelica, etc.).
Maybe, just maybe, someone talks some sense into him and he signs on the dotted line.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
They gambled from jumpstreet knowing he wanted to just go home.
He bounced, but left yall your one and only trophy along the way, justifying trading choker DeRozan.
Win Win, now you guys can move on.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
People are fine with him going. It's the stringing along the Raptors, using them as leverage which people didn't like.
But they won a title so most of it is just not cared about
And Masais comments make it sound like he could have more tricks up his sleeve.Comment

Can’t use a team as leverage if they didn’t plan on being there long term in the first place.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
There was no leverage. OKC tried to trade them Westbrook and Paul George and they said no because the highest likely case is they didn't want that Westbrook salary, and I don't blame them, but at the same time star players are NOT looking to go to Toronto ever, so they should've thought about that whether Kawhi stayed or not.
People acting like Kawhi is a GM is the most ridiculous notion this summer.
If you have an executive in office so stupid that he allows a free agent to dictate his job, then he needs to be fired.
It went from "we did everything we could" to "he leveraged the team"
Stop listening to Cris Carter and Chris Broussard.Comment

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
Quitter was bailing on the Raptors no matter what. Just be thankful that the Raptors got the better end of the deal (only losing one 1st round pick and one young asset) and won a championship.
They still have Pascal, O.G. and will have ton of cap space to try to fetch a quality free-agent soon.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread
I understand not necessarily wanting Westbrook.. but you mean to tell me Toronto lost out on Kawhi, Paul George, Westbrook, because they didn’t want to move Siakam.. what in the actual **** is wrong with them?...
It’s not like you’re trading Siakam for Westbrook.. you’re also getting Paul George and Kawhi..
That move probably wins them a second championship. And even if Kawhi signed a 1+1 and bolted after winning a second ring you still have Paul George and Westbrook under contract. If they want out fine, look at the haul Paul George just got from the Clippers.. that’s a much better haul than just keeping Siakam..
They really thought that one through.. of all the things Masai has done right, this wasn’t one of them IMO.
