In all seriousness, I agree with Leon. What T-mac and Carter did was very low, and a lot of respect should have been lost for them. But the fact that T-mac is now actually trying to fix his mistakes and learning how to be better than the past shows that he is a better person. Now I'm not saying he should be let off the hook completely, but those who learn from their mistakes should be given another chance and should redeem a little of the respect that people had for them before.
OK, I'll start it...thoughts on McGrady?

Originally posted by LeonYou can't defend something like that. All you can look at is what he's doing now. And right now, he's doing a good job. He's not hogging the ball nor is he slacking off, he's deferring to Yao when need be and takes over when need be. He's getting his teammates involved alot.
I think that T-Mac gets a pass because very few pundits or analysts tout T-Mac as the next MJ. Insiders know he doesn't have the heart to be the next NBA great, so no one puts that tag on him. I believe that tag builds resentment and unfair expectations, and T-Mac has never been subjected to that type of backlash.
Thats got to be it....because had this been other certain players in the league, this site would implode.Last edited by HMcCoy; 01-10-2005, 02:24 AM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

True. He seems like such an affable guy, you can't really stay mad at him...he's the type of guy you WANT to see do well. I've said it before, if T-Mac ever gets a GP type of teamate to push him, to stay in his ear... he could easily be the best player in the league.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
