I dont see much point of having both of them. Nets need some 3 and D guys and a big men who can shoot. I think theyre gonna make some moves.

Allen is young and cheap right now and still developing while Jordan is only here because of the other 2 signing but he’s only $10 Mil a year so there’s no real urgency to move them.

I’ve already read that KD is trying to get Ibaka to sign but like OJ mentioned earlier, pretty much every contender will be after him and should.

Our main priority now is re-signing Joe, which is going to happen and finding a quality 4 like I mentioned earlier. But I don’t see them making all these moves before the season without at least seeing how they look together with this coaching staff and also knowing how Marks operates. And yes I am aware that it’s different now with the main 2 playing but I don’t think he’ll revert to Billy King 2.0.

I also don't like the move for Indiana they are giving up two of their best players and not getting any of much value in return. Hayward is nice, but with his injury concerns and contract situation he isn't a building block.

Pretty terrible for the Pacers too, turning Oladipo and Turner into Heyward and blah. That return might cut it for just one of those guys but not for both.

What I heard is that the trade would essentially be one of two things: Smart, some salary filler, and the picks for Holiday & Redick. Or Kemba + picks for the two of them.

I don’t really mind the move for Indiana. They want to move Oladipo and they want Hayward, so that part of the trade is basically a wash for them. Oladipo is just as much damaged goods as Hayward at this point IMO. And Hayward when he had his game going this year looked substantially better than Oladipo at any point this season, both still trying to bounce back though.

Trade is basically Langston, Claxton, and a first for Turner which isn’t awful if Indiana is fine with getting developing youth as a return. I think Claxton has pretty high potential, just might be a few years out.

The other trades suggested do make more sense though if it’s only Boston and New Orleans involved. JJ would be a nice grab for them.

A few more rumors

Lakers are interested in DeRozan giving up Danny Green and Kuz (the ringer)

Hornets are interested in Westbrook (shams)

Pop likes Kuz so that makes sense. And that’s a team that Danny probably wouldn’t just absolutely hate being traded to. Not sure how great of a move that would be for the Lakers. Would depend what free agent options were wanting to come play there on the cheap. Like if the Gallo thing is true at all, he would more than replace Kuzma and it’s basically just trading Green for DeRozan which isn’t bad.

I don’t think the DeRozan not being a shooter thing is as bad as some do though. Green couldn’t hit anything either, and DeRozan is a decent playmaker and would likely have lots of chances to get to the rim or just pull up for the mid-range. He can create looks, which they desperately needed at times.

The money on that deal doesn’t work though. Lakers would be losing fillers they likely couldn’t replace. McGee, AB, etc. And even if they could how much rocking of the boat do you want to do with the chemistry of your championship team.

I like the move LA it gives them a legit 3rd scorer option and your not giving up much. I don’t think they can just run it back with the same roster and repeat. The other teams will be better and you have to factor in motivation and the shorter offseason.

What about if they traded for Aldridge instead ? You could then afford to throw in McGee and lose Dwight. He would definitely give them more at C then they had last year on offense. It looks like his salary for next year is 3.7 million less then Derozan so would be easier to match.

Supposedly Chris Paul is being recruited by Kawhi. I’m sure lots of vets will be willing to take 1 year deals this year with how the salary played out, but just to get to matching money the Clippers have to send out Lou Williams, Pat Bev, Zubac, McGruder, Shamet, and they have 0 picks they can trade.

For one that seems like a horrible gutting of the roster, because after that they would be way over the cap just by extending Harrell, if they even could and he even wanted to stay. For two there is nothing in that haul appealing to OKC. They have no need for Lou Williams chucking up shots in a rebuild, McGruder is just loose change in this, Shamet and Zubca are solid guys who fit the timeline but both aren’t really starting level players when they aren’t paired next to stars.. and regardless of age OKC can do a lot better than Shamet and Zubac for Chris Paul even if it’s draft assets.

The rumor mill has gotten extra annoying this year. Probably because like I said I still think it's too soon for basketball. But this rumor? Is there all of a sudden going to be more than one basketball? Otherwise this sounds awful.

I was really hoping the superteam era was ending with GS. I don't want the Lakers to trade for a third guy or the Clippers or this BK rumor. I remember last offseason being so exciting because it was all about the duos.

Unless for some reason teams think they need to create a trio to compete with the GS trio?

Superteam to my knowledge has always been when a team has 3 (or more) superstars, not 2.
