Zach Lowe is saying teams are just itching for the league to start allowing trades. Sounds like a lot of trades are essentially lined up already and they just want to get the ball rolling at this point.

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
I'm officially worried to death about the bone headed trades Atlanta is going to make this offseason. All the signs point to the package being 6th pick + Huerter for a win now player. It sounds like pressure is coming from the ownership which never ends well.
It's nearly impossible to go into a offseason with 6 quality young players/prospects at the top of your roster. The most cap space in the league with over 40 million which can be used in a number of ways even in a down FA class. Plus the 6th pick in the draft and screw it up Yet that's what I assume will happen.

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
I get the reason to get everything going and rolling and starting the season next month but dayum I need an NBA break. Even with the COVID lay-off I'm just fully locked into football right now and feel like we need a longer basketball break.Comment

Only reason why I want NBA to start up is so I can finally see KD/Kyrie together on the court. Otherwise, GB has my full attention until Feb.#RespectTheCultureComment

I never got into The Bubble season. So I'm ready to be fully disappointed by the Wizards in 6-8 weeks and then start watching other teams play basketball better.

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Knicks and Clippers interested in Westbrook.
I remember last year the rumor was that Kawhi would've stayed in Toronto had the Raptors done the PG/Westbrook deal where basically everyone and every 1st pick got dealt.
What do Clippers have to offer for Westbrook? No firsts to trade, and who do they even have to deal?Comment

To answer your question more specifically, it would be Beverley, Lou Williams, Zubac, McGruder, Shamet, and anyone else that's more expensive than the minimum.
I can't really see any way that's feasible. The Knicks can theoretically take on Westbrook's contract if they really wanted but more likely Houston will be stuck with him IMO.NFL: Bills

"The NBA's Board of Governors call is underway and teams are expected to soon approve by vote the amended CBA negotiated with the NBPA, sources tell ESPN. This clears the way for new salary cap/financial rules to start the 2020-2021 league season.".
It got approved. Wonder when the moratorium period beingsComment

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
I think they'd essentially have to trade the rest of their roster (I don't even think this is an exaggeration; I think it would actually cost them every other player on their roster outside of Kawhi and PG).

Just in terms of money I think it is possible to make the trade without Shamet, but why would Houston accept that offer. I don’t think they would even with him. They are getting nothing back of significant value.

Clippers could also do a sign and trade with Harrell and include him in the deal. I think those have to be 3 year deals.

"The Phoenix Suns have had discussions about acquiring Chris Paul from the OKC Thunder, sources tell me & @TimBontemps. Story forthcoming."
"If acting over the cap, $33.05M is the magic number in outgoing salary when it comes to Chris Paul.
The point guard is owed $41.35 and $44.2 over the next 2 seasons."
I can see Rubio and Baynes as the way to make money match. Or Rubio, Oubre, and someone else for Cp3Last edited by illwill10; 11-10-2020, 08:48 PM.Comment

Send Rubio Milwaukee’s way instead please. Let OKC take Bledsoe.

Re: 2020 Offseason Thread
Rubio, Oubre, end of the bench salary filler, and likely a 1st or couple of 2nd rounders.. something along those lines should get it done, and OKC should feel good about getting a young player like Oubre too.
