Looks like the suns trade is official now was thought they would wait and use their cap space first.

The shrinking market known as cap space has now lost Phoenix with the CP trade on Monday.

Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit and possibly NYK left standing for now.

Suns will have the $9.3M ML, $3.6M biannual, restricted FA Dario Saric and bird rights on A. Baynes for roster moves.

For this season absolutely I am as opposed to bringing in that package you're talking about and kicking our tires as a conference finals exit at BEST team. The Bulls have been terrible for a long time now, what's sitting through another garbage season missing the playoffs while an entirely new front office properly evaluates the current roster and they're chosen draft pick for the future?

Harden fits well with him because Harden IS a playmaker while neither White or LaVine are.

Yeah still don't think he makes Coby better, but okay.

He's a choker playing his current brand of basketball, like I said I didn't propose they also hire D'Antoni.

What? Harden is a playoff choker dating back to his disappearing act in the Finals with OKC. You're aware D'Antoni hasn't been his coach the entire time in Houston right?

Last point is fair for sure, I'll agree with you that waiting to see if/when another star wants out might be a good play.. just not sure you get a better opportunity than now, because you'd essentially be doing the same thing then for someone other than Harden and typically those players wanting out are on the last year or two of their deal.

But I'm not at all proposing you sell the farm, just this awful 4th pick before you draft someone that's useless and LaVine + salary.

This very well may be the best chance, if we miss it, then so be it. 4th pick in this draft isn't so awful that mortaging the future for Harden and the rest of the Rockets cast offs is the appropriate thing to do

Hardens on a 3 year deal with like 130m left, that 50 mil per year wouldn’t kick in until that’s over and he’s making 45 per now. That’s a long time from now, it would make sense not to want to tie yourself to them right now more than necessary.

KD and Kyrie are close but I would do that in a heartbeat if that wasn’t the case. Keep LeVert and Dinwiddie, use those Prince and Temple contracts to bring back one of RoCo/Tucker since the Nets are still needing an extra guy who can defend the 4. Keep Allen. Much better all around team IMO, but they are thinking star power for sure.

What’s crazy is KD seemingly left the Warriors to win as more of “the guy” and if all this falls into place he’s right back on another 70 win team with a guy who’s been MVP and another who got rings without him lol. At least this team it won’t be running a system that was build around Steph I guess. But regardless he’s probably never going to get that recognition he wants.
