Regardless of what happens this year, and I know that is impossible cap wise, I would love to be able to run next season back with this current Lakers roster minus one player at the end of the bench being replaced by who we take in the draft.

Trez could take the 11 or so pay raise they can give him, he could get more elsewhere but one more year with the Lakers would give him early birds and he likely wouldn’t get more than they could pay him that 3rd year somewhere else. Drummond would have to take the tax player MLE, 5.9 mil. That would be pretty low for him, but he’s been traded for 2nd round picks in the past, if his value has dropped to say 10 a year like Trez/Ibaka signed for it wouldn’t be crazy for him to take the 6ish for one year and get a bigger deal the following season.

It’s a loooong shot, but not completely impossible. Lakers would be way in the tax though. They traded for Schroeder’s bird rights but he wants so much damn money.. but they can’t replace him.

I don't know but it's a very rare occurence for a team playing without stars like the Lakers are right now.

Random question: is it even all that impressive to score 27 points in a game anymore?

I’m honestly not even sure.

We’re already at the point where triple doubles aren’t impressive anymore but I also know that since they’re happening more often, I can see why people would stop being enamored with them.

I feel like outside of a few players, there isn’t much that impresses people nowadays from a statistical standpoint.

You like the 2020 or 2021 squad better? I got a softer spot for the 2020 squad but it's probably because I watched every game and the 2021 has been a mess with injuries

That's kind of the point, I would love to see Bron, AD, Drummond, Schröder, Kuzma, Trezz, Morris, THT, Caruso, McLemore, KCP, and Gasol could do playing a full healthy season together.

Load Management will be theme for the Nets tonight against the Sixers. No KD, Blake, Aldridge, Johnson, Harden, Cheese tonight but Kyrie returns tonight.

Pretty weak of them to do so on a nationally televised game but this season is definitely a mess with all the condensed games. Really sucks for the fans that paid money to go (if they let fans in that is)

Pretty weak of them to do so on a nationally televised game but this season is definitely a mess with all the condensed games. Really sucks for the fans that paid money to go (if they let fans in that is)

Yesterday was KD’s 3rd game back and he’s still on a minutes restriction(rightfully so since he ended up missing more time than he originally was supposed to with that hamstring injury). We were supposed to play on Monday but because of another AA getting shot by the Police, that game was postponed to Tuesday so him not playing on B2B right now makes sense, otherwise he’s playing tonight.

Blake hasn’t played a B2B all year with his knee issues, Aldridge is out with an illness and nobody is sure if it’s COVID related or not, Harden is still dealing with hamstring injury and didn’t travel on this trip, as is Johnson and Chiozza broke his hand yesterday(Two names ya’ll casuals don’t give a damn about missing games, lol)

Does it make sense now or is it still weak?
