Yep, he's a solid, solid pro.

Just keeps getting better too. On a team that has become very perimeter oriented and tries to push the tempo I’m really surprised at how well he’s been able to adjust and make his game fit into that. When they have to slow down he’s almost always able to convert and get a bucket. Most nights he’s the only guy on the floor expected to do all the little things a big guy is supposed to do, JJJ is a jump shooting big, they let Dieng go, Clarke is only 6’8 and so much of his game is getting up and down the floor or attacking from the outside (loves those floaters). JV pretty much solely controls the boards, the interior offense, the back line of the defense, sets tons of ball screens, off ball screens, etc.

Grizz have a sequence where he sets a ball screen up top, screens down for the guard to come high, and then isolates himself on the post after both screens and they give him the ball and it feels like he converts nearly every time on that play. But just always so active and efficient with his movements.

The fact this didn't get more coverage is baffling they were 2 games out from the playoffs when they decided to go tank mode.

The fact this didn't get more coverage is baffling they were 2 games out from the playoffs when they decided to go tank mode.

It's been getting attention from some of the beat writers I read, pointing out how comical it is. Probably never gonna get a ton of notice because a lot of these bad NBA teams just disappear from people's awareness after a while. OKC is more or less invisible right now.
