Lakers really should have added another guard. Especially if Harrell is going to be playing 10 minutes a night in the playoffs. Could have easily matched some contracts with Harrell and Matthews. Have a future first they can move as well.

Literally all of their point guards are injured right now, they don't need another guard if Schroder, Caruso, and LeBron are healthy

Literally all of their point guards are injured right now, they don't need another guard if Schroder, Caruso, and LeBron are healthy

Caruso can’t play PG though. He can’t even make an entry pass into AD. I love Caruso, but they still need a player who has a basic understanding of how to initiate offense. He’s a 2 guard who has enough combo guard skills to handle the ball, but that’s about it.

THT could be that guy in time, but he still had so much to learn in terms of patience and setting pace. What they don’t need is Matthews. Caruso, THT, KCP, Schroder, all adequately play the role of off guard when Bron is playing.

I guess hindsight is a factor, but seeing that Frank won’t play Trez at the 4, and Drummond, Gasol, playoff AD at the 5 is likely going to keep him at 10-12 or less minutes a game, I think they clearly could have filled a bigger need.

They could have even gotten back Rondo. Got G Hill, maybe TJ McConnell. Hornets wanted Harrell who knows what they could have gotten in that trade. At the time Graham wasn’t playing much with Rozier and Ball, who knows if they couldn’t have requested him back in that package.

Gasol and Harrell will play together depending on the matchup. Frank used it in 2 of the past 3 games, including tonight. Just seems one of his things he's gonna save for later
