I see the Westbrook fans and the triple-double fans had a little jerking party the other day. It has been a nice few weeks for Russell, *slow clap*.
As for the "why don't they like him" crowd, I thought it was quite obvious.
His obsession with triple-doubles (which mirrors a lot of NBA fans).
His awful decisions moment in the clutch (Westbrick and all of that).
Him being a hard-*** who is delusional enough to think that at any time he was better than Durant, not running through him. Incredibly frustrating player.
The tRiPle-dOuBle MVP. A lot of blame on that goes to NBA writers and their narratives (looking at you Ramona Shelburne-like writers).
And of course his questionable personal style and face only his mama could like (I'm kidding, sort of
).
I do have admiration for his high energy and seemingly always going 100% on the court.
So enjoy this little moment in the light, because we know it will be fleeting and I will be right there went it goes sour again (won't be much longer).
