I think it would Atl than Mia since they entered today at that slot. I don't see AtL losing against Rockets and Miami losing against Pistons either. I wonder if Celtics play all their starters tomorrow in a back to back in a game that doesn't matter.
I think it all depends on how hard Bucks play tonight. They would need Nets to lose tomorrow against Cavs to get the 2nd seed.

So what sort of tanking strategy are teams going to employ to face the Knicks and not the Heat in the 1st round?

And yes, teams would rather play the Knicks. Sorry.

No one cares about seedings in the Eastern Conference.

Lowry won't be playing in Raptors final game of season due to "rest"?

It's a "home game", in TB, but Raptors have hated playing in TB all season. It could be his last game as a Raptor, so I'm surprised he wouldn't play even for the TV audience.

Honestly I'm not opposed to 72 games over the span of a normal season. Especially if it means less back to backs, lessens teams sitting players for load management, potentially reduces injuries.

Just play every teams twice and be done with it.

Celtics are sitting all their good players today. Apparently that means the Knicks will thus clinch a 4 or 5 seed, assuming they somehow don't lose to the Celtics' scrubs.

So basically out of 20 total seeds, only 3 are locked in on the last day of the season (SA #10 in WC, Philly #1 in EC and Boston #7 in EC). That's pretty wild.

If Knicks hold the lead for the win, I can see that leading to ATL and Miami resting their starters since they'll be locked into the 5th and 6th seed respectively.

Wouldn't be surprised of teams like Cavs, ORL, Det, Minn, OKC, and HOU sit their starters in order to increase likelihood of losing to increase lottery odds.
