We need that Sun vs. Fever matchup in the 1st round, that will be good to watch Clark and Thomas go at it.

Boston kinda reminds me of Zion, if she can just drop 15 pounds she would be a beast every night.

Is there some serious financial reason behind this structure of playoffs format? Some men's European leagues have also a best of 3 in 1st round but the games format is 1-1-1. Why WNBA has 2 consecutive home games in a best of 3? It doesn't make any sense unless the teams are really struggling financially and can't afford plane tickets. Very bizarre. Why they don't give the chance for the low seeded team to make some money from several sources by playing 1 home game? Am I missing something here?

You're right, it was something I was questioning last night watching the Fever game. The crowd was mixed. But I think a fair chance would be to have at least one home game for each team.

It's unfair surely but even if we dismiss this is there a valid official reason behind this format? This is a "closed/private" league so all the teams agreed to have this bizarre best of 3 with full home court advantage. In my eyes this means all the teams record financial losses and the whole thing is unsustainable? The argument that the low seeded team still needs to win an away game isn't valid at all. It's completely different going away to win after the series are tied 1-1. All teams are losing more money because of this illogical playoffs format nonsense.

This was such a stupid ****ing decision and I've yet to see even a remotely logical explanation for why it happened.

Personally I think there is some CC nonsense attached to this coming from the top of the league.
