    Re: Webber to the Sixers

Great move by Billy King!!! Thank goodness he pulled off a good deal! Man the Kings got it right up the arse in this deal. This makes them easily the division winners (if Webber can stay healthy long enough to get some wins that is). Now they have a great slasher/passer in Iverson, good low-post presence/good passer in Webber, good young high-octane rookie stud of the future in Iguodala, and a great 3-point outside shooter to spread the defense in Kyle Korver. For the future (like 6-8 years from now) this may not seem like a great deal due to Webbers/Iverson's growing age and health concerns, but for the next 5 or so years there is going to be some pretty exciting basketball in Philly. Man, I hope P2K is thrilled, especially given the fact that we were still able to hold all our young talent and keep Robinson's expiring contract for another possible deal down the road. Or, they could just let Robinson go now and get about 12 mil to use to resign their young talent. The worst case senario is that Webber doesn't stay healthy enough to contribute on the court, but at least we have another all-star caliber player on our team.

I am totally shocked by this trade. I just read it on ESPN before I came here. It's freakin nutz!!! I don't understand it at all. Granted, I don't care about the Kings, but I don't know why they would do this. They didn't get anything in return. The contracts will still be there, and the talent is no where near there. Are they getting ready to make another trade before noon tomorrow? What's the deal?

The Sixers on the other hand made out like bandits. They have put together a solid team. If they ever get Dalembert going, and the big dog out of his doghouse, then they can really make some noise in the east.

Wow, I'm still shocked by all of this.

          Really weird.

**** this mother****ing piece of ****! Damn it!

In exchange we get trash?! I'm still confident with this team but I don't think we'll be good enough to contend for the title. ****! Peja better get back soon. Mobley and Bibby have to step up, especially Brad Miller. There goes Bibby's favorite pick-n-roll partner. ****ing hell we got raped! We better land someone in FA next year otherwise Petrie would just look like an idiot for pulling this off.

Big time steal for the Sixers. The best part about the trade was that they didn't have to give up Samuel or Andre. What in the world were the Kings thinking??? You have a big name player like that, you must get a big name in return. I understand Webber is not the player he once was, but they could've done much better.

I can kinda understand them not being so hesitant to pull the trigger on it though. Even since Webber has been killin' lately, the team is not much different without him, and we've seen that over the last 2 or 3 years, that they can still win without him. Not only are the no longer under the burden of his big contract, they have so hardworking big men who can probably get the job done in the West.

Brad Miller is underrated too, so it's not like they have NOBODY down low.
