Sixers figures spoke of how Embiid fully embraced becoming Philadelphia's lifeblood with Simmons out of the picture. Other league observers posited Embiid was auditioning for his next co-star. Harden saw another talent hungering for his first ring, according to several people close to him. Irving, on the other hand, was willing to miss half of Brooklyn's playoff games.
"Kyrie not being held accountable and Kyrie being allowed to do whatever he wants. James, being his age, knows he doesn't have any time to waste to get his first championship," one source close to Harden told B/R.

Harden didn't arrive at the Jazz game until halftime, sources told B/R. When it concluded and Brooklyn continued with its planned itinerary to Denver, Harden flew to Las Vegas, sources said.
When asked to confirm the account, one person close to Harden chuckled before responding, "That sure sounds like James, doesn't it?"
The short flight from Salt Lake City has made for frequent Vegas getaways for Harden dating back to his Rockets tenure, sources said. He would also stay behind following trips to Los Angeles and meet the team at its next destination. Daryl Morey afforded Russell Westbrook the same frequent flight privileges as Harden. And the Sunday before this year's trade deadline, Harden returned from Vegas to Denver but showed up late for the Nuggets game as well.

I'm at work, but will still tune into both if possible. I do really hope this works out for both sides.

While definitely isn't a good look, it isn't shocking for Harden. It's something I'll be concerned with, especially since Morey will allow him similar privileges as with Houston. But, Joel is definitely the one who will publicly out Harden if it becomes an issue

They were being called the favorites before the deadline to land him in the buyout market, but that was before the Dinwiddie move happened. So it’s anybody’s guess where they sit on that now. Golden State, Lakers and Bulls were among the teams I saw were gonna be after him since the deadline passed

I doubt the Mavs can/will pay Brunson after this year so maybe it still makes sense to grab Dragic with the hopes that you can convince him to sign on again this off-season.

I think Miami is a solid fit like Jeebs said. Hasn't he been staying there as of late too? Might make the most sense. When healthy I can't imagine Chicago or LAL having much to offer him as far as a role. If Chicago had moved White at the deadline maybe, but I wouldn't want him taking minutes from Ayo and they will have Ball and Caruso back at some point. Lakers literally need help everywhere but Nunn (if he ever comes back), Westbrook, Bron, idk.. I could see them pursuing him but what they really need is someone to play in that Ariza, Bazemore, Ellington spot that's worth a damn.

Speaking of the Lakers and the buyout market they need to jump on Bembry ASAP. As bad as it sounds he would probably start for them. Solid defender and he was shooting well enough playing off ball for the Nets. He's basically their ideal need at this point (especially if he was a bit taller/bigger) but probably the best they could get.

Idk who all will realistically reach buyouts but if the Lakers could somehow turn Ariza, Bazemore, Jordan into Bembry, one of Harris/Schroder/Dragic, and one of Thompson/Millsap/Favors that would massively upgrade their roster given how bad their current role guys have been.

BREAKING: Milwaukee Bucks have signed DeAndre Bembry after Brooklyn waived him last week.

I'm assuming a decent wing defender and can shoot the 3 from time to time.

Good spot for Bembry as he should get some minutes after the injury and trades they had last week. He also played for Bud when he was in Atlanta.

Great pickup for the Bucks. A bit more size than the guys they already had in the role. If his shooting stays consistent I think he’s a big deference maker for them. Putting a good defender on an already good defensive team typically yields a big payoff.

I’m puzzled how all of this is just coming out now. Not really..but it speaks volumes about the coverage (or lack thereof) as you all were discussing before.

Remember the report about the Nets paying for dudes side chicks houses and ****? “Now imagine that was the Knicks.” Jacob Brigance [emoji23] I don’t think he played another game for them after the Jazz game so I’m not sure if he was supposed to play in that game or not. Bro said “oh so we’re cool with part time players? Say less.”
