Wow, Chicago may have just gave this game away. Horrible shot selection by Derozan.

Celtic announces are the worst. They don't even know if it's a foul or that the game is over.

thought the Cs were going to let that one get away, they did but credit to them they got down and fought back. one of the wins they really haven't had all season. for them it doesn't matter who the other team is missing,,, they've lost to some truly terrible teams this year. the stars that were there for the Bulls played really well. Robert Williams agenda is continuing. Tatum didn't shoot well but his defense on Demar was elite. also remembering everyone that wanted him to take it to the rim what the heck happened to his elite 3 point shooting. It's so odd.

Lakers specialist players might look better when they have AD back, but man if this team has any injuries, foul trouble, whatever to Bron or AD they really do have a roster full of guys who just aren’t capable of filling the void. Tons of guys who routinely offer almost nothing at all. Those 2018 Cavs that heavily featured JR, Uncle Jeff, and George Hill were even more balanced than this group.. I think the expectation was Russ would fix some of that but….

Part of it was banking on a healthy, dominant AD, which is super risky proposition at best, but gambling on Russ too, a fools gambit of the highest order.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

It’s pretty bad that the most well rounded of them all might be Reaves and he’s an undrafted rookie who still has a long ways to go from being a player you want getting heavy rotation minutes on a playoff team. All of the other guys just have massive holes in their game in some way or another.

THT’s lack of progression this year might be just as disappointing as the AD injury and Westbrook fit thus far. He was supposed to be that guy who did a little bit of everything. His shot not falling would be a minor issue if everything else was clicking but it’s just not. He’s good for a couple crafty drives a game, maybe double digit points when his 3 ball is on.. that’s about it. I don’t think they were wrong for favoring his potential, it’s just feeling a little too delayed right now.

Despite how well they’ve done in drafts finding guys like Kuzma, THT, Caruso, and now it appears Reaves could become that guy at some point too, looking back at the picks the didn’t keep and the guys they were rumored to want makes you wonder what could have been there too. They were rumored to take Desmond Bane had they kept the 2020 pick for themselves, last year if they could move up it was Duarte and if they couldn’t Cam Thomas or Ayo.. Cam hasn’t had tons of opportunity but Bane, Duarte, Ayo have all had good years relative to expectation, and Duarte and Bane would be starters on this team given the production the current guys are giving.

To think they could have drafted Bane instead of go for Schroder, then use Kuz + this past pick to move up for Duarte, and then resigned Caruso.. not saying I’m not happy with how it turned out with Bane ending up in Memphis but there is a missed scenario where the Lakers could have landed shooters that you could actually leave on the floor for 30+ minutes instead of shooters who are so bad at everything else you can only play them 7 minutes lol. Even just not keeping Kuzma once they decided to ditch the center was a bit iffy as this would have theoretically been the best “fit” year for him because he’s no longer a Bron/AD backup.

I’m not saying they didn’t need to grab a player who could do more with the ball given how ugly the offense could be when Bron or AD was cold that first year.. Danny/AB/McGee were far too limited with the ball.. but I think they went a little too hard in trying to find a “point guard” while having LeBron, both with Dennis and Russ.. recent rumors are they want Gary Trent Jr now, a player like that would have been a better “fit” than either of the true points they ultimately got to begin with, butter than Buddy most likely too, and easier to obtain... just some weird decisions coming full circle while they aren’t healthy..

I guess we’ll see what having AD and Nunn back does to change that.

I really don't remember what I said about him during the draft process. I need to look back.

Lakers are trash, not much to root for.

But they're still a playoff team. Same with the Knicks. Which I think is why the play-in exists, honestly. Whatever it takes to keep those names in the mix, however artificial it feels.

Garland turned that game around on his own last night. It was looking like a loss that we could’ve easily put down to the schedule but it’s kind of emblematic of how the Cavs have been this season.
