Re: 1/11 - 1/24 Games Discussion Thread
My biggest gripe with WB has always been his awful three point shooting and his high turnover rate. But I've never questioned his hustle or rim attack. He's A+++ on those marks and he has a decent middy that he likes to used the bank at times.
But further research and his fg% is almost at 44% so maybe I'm capping. Scoring is down but that's understandable. His numbers don't pass the eye test for me though.

I don't have a stat for this. But I feel like WB has been much worse at finishing around the rim this year.
Im saying if it feels like that, it because of where he’s playing at(plays for Lakers so of course way more exposure to his missed shots at the Basket)and if he was still in DC, it wouldn’t get this much exposure on a nightly basis from most people(He struggled finishing last year in DC too during stretches of season)#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 1/11 - 1/24 Games Discussion Thread
They have the assets to make a big swing for an all-star caliber of player. I just dont know who that person is in it doesn't seem like that move will be at the deadline. They have a lot of moveables and expiring contracts.
I think they either need to hit big on one more pick or keep expecting Ja, Bane, and Jackson to make jumps forward and become more consistent. They aren’t going to get big free agents, and obviously can’t really trade what they have and stay on this same course.. so they really need all those guys to take one more leap forward and not stall with their progression.
Most tradable piece might actually be Brooks. Not that I would want to see him go but he’s the one guy they could probably offload for more of a specialist 3 and D type or something if the others keep improving.
There is always the aspect of is this sustainable or not. Are they going to do what the Hawks did last year and the go into the next season looking like the Hawks this year? Those young teams sometimes it’s hard to maintain that level of hunger and effort once you’ve had a certain level of success. Part of what I like about Brooks and Bane is they don’t let off the gas, so I’m hoping that slump year is avoidable.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 1/11 - 1/24 Games Discussion Thread
The first thing I thought when the Pacers announced they were shopping guys is how much Turner, Sabonis, or LeVert would help the Grizz.. But given the roles they would fill for Memphis there is just nobody I would trade to get any of them.
Most suggested trades that have them "going all in" include Adam's contract and I just don't think that is a good idea. Culver's 6+ mil contract is intriguing because you could get a decent return pairing that with Brooks or Anderson. Something like Anderson and Culver with a pick for guys like Barnes or Grant would be about the only move I would want to see.. And this is pending on Grant accepting a lower role, maybe even 6th man role, where as I think Barnes would fit more seamlessly like Anderson does. So in that sense it's probably a no for Grant.
Other than that unless someone like Jaylen Brown demands a trade and Boston takes back Brooks, Anderson, Jones, and multiple firsts.. I think I'm against the idea of cashing in for an All-Star. I think they have to get a player who makes them better at both ends and not just someone who is perceived as a "star" for any real move to be feasible.Comment

Or he is actually missing more shots at the basket: Westbrook is shooting 6.2% less from 0-3 feet, and 10.4% less from 3-10 feet so far compared to last year.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

"When I watch some of these other teams like the Suns or the Warriors, those guys are a step ahead of us in terms of winning habits. They take every game personally. Devin Booker is playing his *** off defensively. Ive been watching him compared to two years ago. Guys like that, they buy in, and you can tell they take pride in playing defense and stopping their man, doing whatever they can defensively to stop the other team and be part of a winning culture. I think we're not there yet, but I think were gonna get there."

I'm not contrasting him with anyone else but just talking about what I see with him, LeMelo really seems to be a "Ball is Life" dude.Jordan Mychal Lemos

I’ve seen McCollum tossed around as a possible fit for them. The blazers could use the pieces and draft picks Memphis Can offer
They do I just don't know who they would realistically trade. Adam's has changed the whole dynamic of the team and I don't think they would be the same after moving him. Same for Anderson, he's nothing crazy but he's just been the perfect glue guy who defends, makes smart passes, hits the occasionally 3 ball but it's just always the same with him whether he gets 10 shots or 2 shots.
