I’m actually interested in seeing how Brooks looks this year with how much Bane and Jackson, and even Ja have improved. Most of the games Brooks played this season was when Ja was out, I don’t think they’ve played but maybe 5 or so games at full strength.

I love how he plays because he will bust his *** on defense. But he’s very prone to taking really bad shots. He’s one of those Tatum, Randle types, he makes enough in most instances to justify it but with how well everyone is playing now I don’t know if that really makes sense this year like it did last year. It’ll be interesting.

I’m kinda holding out hope that with all the others shooting so well he’ll be the aggressive attack the rim type. He’s pretty automatic from the FT line he just needs to get himself there more often.

Things might also get easier for him with how well others are shooting too. Last year he was the only guy who could really create shots off the dribble, he might be more efficient now that the spacing should open up a bit for him.

Anyone know why Anfernee Simons isn't playing tonight? I couldn't find anything.

Tyus is solid too though. One of the best backup guards in the league IMO. Just not a huge scorer.

Ziaire did finally have that breakout game. Culver even randomly had a decent game a couple weeks back too lol. It does seem like it’s always somebody.

Grizz are just deep man, and well coached, and those guys play hard for him too. It’s a good mix to have. Even Melton, Clarke, Tillman, are solid with their minutes as well.

I’m just hoping they can maintain come playoff time, mostly just so people who haven’t watched much of Desmond Bane get a chance to see what he can do. Assuming he maintains his play in the playoffs. One of the best shooters I’ve ever seen, plays hard defense, strong as hell. He’s off to a similar start to his career as Klay Thompson was to start his.

Memphis might have the most promising outlook of anyone in the league when you factor in everything top to bottom. They also have three 1st round draft picks this year.

I think they either need to hit big on one more pick or keep expecting Ja, Bane, and Jackson to make jumps forward and become more consistent. They aren’t going to get big free agents, and obviously can’t really trade what they have and stay on this same course.. so they really need all those guys to take one more leap forward and not stall with their progression.

Most tradable piece might actually be Brooks. Not that I would want to see him go but he’s the one guy they could probably offload for more of a specialist 3 and D type or something if the others keep improving.

There is always the aspect of is this sustainable or not. Are they going to do what the Hawks did last year and the go into the next season looking like the Hawks this year? Those young teams sometimes it’s hard to maintain that level of hunger and effort once you’ve had a certain level of success. Part of what I like about Brooks and Bane is they don’t let off the gas, so I’m hoping that slump year is avoidable.

Yeah he locked up Kevin Durant of all people. I watch that game a few times. Only because I never seen KD miss that many jumpers or shots for that matter. Then was splashing lol.

But if the playoffs started tomorrow. I would not want to face them that's for sure lol.

Sounds like some stoner logic but I'm sticking with it.

Curry is the most important when he is not on the floor. Or he is the one they can least afford to go without for long stretches of time (you have a choice to lose Steph for the year or Dray, who you picking?). But when everyone is on the floor, Dray is the most important.

Yeah but I can't watch the Wolves and not quietly scream at KAT and think about wasted potential and talent. I hate that 5out offense with him either iso'ing or spotting up on the perimeter.

Yep, Dray is the nitrous oxide that gives them that extra gear, but Steph is the engine without which everything else is of course irrelevant.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yeah if dude was just making layups and dunks he would look substantially better this season. It’s an odd thing for sure. I’m sure nobody, even the Lakers, expected him to come in all of a sudden nailing jumpers.. but I’m sure they expected to be able to finish when he got downhill.

Is he just doing the Ricky Davis miss on purpose to get another rebound thing? Idk [emoji38]
