this Celtic turnaround is crazy. not tonight obviously you should win vs OKC but in general. they were one of the most unwatchable teams not too long ago and now they just win every night. I knew i wasn't crazy for my takes about this team.

Re: 3/8 - 3/21 Games Discussion Thread
I think health could have helped a ton here, they built such a specialized team with their roles but not a single guy (aside from maybe Monk) had the ability to step into a bigger role once AD/Nunn/Bron/AD again went down with injuries. I feel like Nunn would have helped them so much, Ariza maybe wasn’t completely washed before his injury but he is Solomon Hill (maybe worse) level now.
Honestly if you would have told me Russ would be shooting roughly the same as he has the past couple of years, was taking a basically a decade low in 3pt attempts, willingly giving up his on ball duties to play 2nd, 3rd, 4th option, and still getting 18/7/7 overall I think most people would have taken that. He’s had issues, he can’t stay in front of anybody and forgot how to finish at the rim, but the whole “fit” thing for him hasn’t really been as big of an issue it’s made out to be. It’s not perfect, everyone assumed it wouldn’t be, but I don’t think he would be made out to be the problem the way he had been if the rest of the roster just wasn’t a complete mess.
I also think Frank is a very strong coach but this roster is a horrible fit for him and rather than him maybe trying to adjust his style to fit the players he’s basically threw corpses out time and time again, sacrificed offense for defense on a team that can’t defend regardless, and seemingly starts a different 5 literally every single night. Since getting DJ and Gabriel things have looked a bit better from a game plan standpoint, but that just shows how massively flawed their rotation guys are if those guys are the big difference makers.
It’s just been a horrendous mix all around. THT not developing into what they wanted from him this year has also been a massive blow. He was supposed to be that other “guy” for them, instead he’s just had a few flashes and that’s it.Comment

Still trying to make sense of this.. 99.999% of guys hit 37 and every time they do a basic *** dunk it’s “oh he turned back the clock on that one” and this dude is still doing this and blocking shots above the square.. it’s wild.Comment

Tom Brady throwing for 400 yards and collecting his social security check every week has turned my reaction to all older guys playing well to meh.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

When he hit K-Love it sorta boosted/paused him for a split second.. camera angles are tricky but this is about as close to “head at the rim” as you’ll see. Is it literally level with the rim, doubt it, but it looks to be within a couple of inches or so.Last edited by ojandpizza; 03-22-2022, 08:56 AM.Comment

Re: 3/8 - 3/21 Games Discussion Thread
Playing well and still doing stuff like that is a bit different. Not hating on Brady but he’s never going to athletically surprise anybody. He can still stand still a throw a football, but that’s a bit different than even the weaker “turned back the clock” dunks from old legs honestly. This is more like seeing TO still hanging with dudes half his age in the 40, but more so if TO was also still in the league playing like a pro bowl receiver.Comment

Ever since I first read the report that Bron spends a mil+ a year on his body I’ve felt like bro resurrected the cream and the clear so he’s the one that could never surprise me athletically lol.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Should be 7 in a row if not for that Spence dagger last week
Helps that Bruce has been playing great for his role and Claxton being healthy and playing like we expect him to play.#RespectTheCultureComment

After getting my hopes up last year, the Knicks killed my enjoyment of basketball again. Haven't watched in weeks and had to turn it off after a few minutes because it's just depressing to look at.Comment

The league really tried to market this game as some big matchup because of 3 words, lol#RespectTheCultureComment
