Embiid ducking the grind smh
That’s how it goes right or is that only for American Born players? [emoji102]#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
I would understand the angst if it was coming from Cameroon lol. Sure the narrative of both Embiid and Siakam playing for Cameroon would be positive. But France getting mad, is like counting the eggs before they hatch and getting mad at the chickenComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
Maybe this will help that other semi-pro league that the Thompson twins & Dominic Barlow were a part of?
It also doesn't help that some of the current players on the G-League Ignite have seen their stock fall. But can that be attributed to the players, the environment or injuries? Or some of all three?

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
It's only meant to help the college game not prospects/future NBA players.

There's still a place for semi-pro leagues. There's always going to guys who don't want the college experienceComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
For most of the top guys, you could get a bigger bag through NIL than what they would get through G-League and with less commitment(think you have to do 2 years in G-League). Plus it's hard to develop those young guys and win games. They're playing against Grown men who either fighting to get to the NBA or feed their families
Still thought it could’ve served a purpose but I’m not going to pretend like I’m bothered by the decision or that it was time for it go.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NBA Off Topic Thread
You could develop in the G-League since that’s what the primary focus of that has always been so I don’t really follow the part about it being hard to develop the young guys and win games. Idk, while I’m cool with seeing college guys get paid, I’m not gonna act like I’m ok with everything else that seems to come with it.

I'm not really moved either way by it being end.Comment
