It's a bummer that this is ultimately the return for a guy that will go down as one of the best Bucks players of all-time, but it is what it is. Kuzma is certainly a gamble; he's had a horrendous season so far and has developed a lot of bad habits over the last few years in the basketball Hell that is Washington DC. The hope is with a smaller offensive burden in Milwaukee and actual offensive threats around him, Kuzma will go back to being the decent defender and pretty good rebounder that he was earlier in his career. Shooting should improve as his shot quality will almost certainly be much better in Milwaukee than it was in DC and once upon a time, he was a helpful cutter, board crasher, etc. that we could really use.

If we get the version of Kuzma that he's been this season, this will obviously go down as a terrible trade, but even relative to his other underwhelming Wizards seasons, this year has been a major outlier for him.
Should have said "former AS" former clutch shot maker and former good defender.

Minus the last two injury riddled seasons, Khash has been, pound for pound, a better player
    than Kuzma over their careers.

For sure he has, and to be honest, he's been better so far this season too. He's just not the same guy he once was though and there's at least a chance that taking Kuzma out of hands down the worst basketball environment in the league and putting him in a very good one will result in us getting an upgrade at a cheaper cost than Middleton.

And fingers crossed the new cap flexibility we have will allow us to make another move to improve too but we'll see.

maybe there is a off washington buff coming but I don't think people realize how bad Kuzma has been in Washington. Middleton is washed but he's clearly better than Kuzma. Horst is one of the worst GMs in the NBA. to send one of the best players in franchise History to Washington. man.

Shams says KD has no interest in going back to GS.

Guess this means Butler to Suns could heat up again?

As a DC guy, I am well aware lol. He's arguably been their worst player this season. Could not possibly look more checked out.

After talking all that nonsense about (to paraphrase) 'building something special' in DC. The Wizards waited a year or two too long to move Kuz, so they gotta settle for a downside Middleton and (obvious reach in) AJ Johnson.

                SMDH

I'm shocked that they didn't move Poole too since he's having a good (offensive) season.

Raptors apparently the faves for Ingram. Don't know what the plan is there. They're supposed to be tanking, suddenly got hot recently, now they want to trade for someone on an expiring deal who wouldn't be of much use on a team like theirs?

Some speculated that maybe Raptors trade for him but then find a better suitor and flip him right after?

I literally read this thinking you meant they got him for 2 seconds, as if they dealt him 2 seconds after trading for him.

Jonas on Sacramento to reunite with DeRozan. They're the main Raptors who missed out on that championship with DeRozan traded for Kawhi (which is why they won it) and Jonas traded for Gasol during the season.

Definitely going to root for them now just for that.

Butler to Golden state in exchange of Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Anderson and a protected first-round pick.

Jimmy Butler traded to Golden State for Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson and Dennis Schroder.

This ain't getting GSW any closer, IMO, by itself to competing for a title. They still need another big and another wing defender (probably more).

Steve Kerr better have extra Tylenol in the locker room for all the headaches he's about to have. [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Maybe Jimmy and Draymond will have a brawl at practice and both be out for the season?

I’m not sure how much better that actually makes GS, and I like Jimmy on the floor.

That extension too.. 121 for 2 years? No way is he a 60mm a year player.

I heard Raptors rumored to be in on Wiggins to help make a deal happen, guess not.

But sounds like Raptors getting Kyle Anderson as part of the deal. Wonder if they get a pick with him.

Edit-Apparently Raptors aren't even part of the deal despite Shams claiming they were.

Shams said the Toronto portion fell through. Miami still working things with Anderson he "could stay or be moved" still.

Wonder what happened to make it fall through.

Maybe they forgot to give Raptors any compensation for taking him on and they said no, because the initial trade had nothing else going to the Raptors.

Wonder if these moves are all in reaction to the Doncic move?

Mavs going to fall out of a play in spot, suddenly the Kings and now Warriors have made moves while the Suns could still be planning a move too.

I wonder how close other teams were to making moves because we went from a potential KD reunion in GS to KD staying in Phoenix and Butler being the Suns target to GS winding up with Butler.
