100% agree with you. But they already knew that before they traded for him. And have known/experienced that first hand for the 3 years since having him. So why are they playing the half in game? They already know the risk with AD is there.

I’m not acting like the health isn’t a huge question mark, I’m just saying health concerns are already a given. And if you know those health concerns are there wouldn’t a trade to 1.) give you a better shot at winning now 2.) lesson the load of your most injury prone guys, and 3.) give you a back up for when they miss some time, pretty much check most the boxes for building a contender around players with injury concerns?

Idk it kinda is what it is at this point. Not keeping Caruso sorta hinted at them wanting to toe the line of just how “all in” they would be. So this is all just rambling on about the same thing for no reason at this point.

Luckily local broadcast has the Sixers-Knicks game because of the Flag Football game that I have zero interest of ever watching

I think the Nets would still prefer the Dallas package over Russ+those two firsts.

I do gotta thank Kyrie though. I'm loving this "what happens next" situation that his request created.

I think they would. Especially if KD is staying this year and they want to build on how they've looked. I'm not sure they really even got worse here. All sorta depends on how consistent Dinwiddie will be. DFS is kinda what they have needed all year long in terms of a bigger defender to help bolster that end of the floor but also space the floor unlike Ben. KD, Ben, DFS, Royce, no matter who is on the floor for them they should be solid on that end now.

They have an opportunity now to explore the value of guys like Ben, Harris, and Seth. Maybe a trade there makes sense, maybe it doesn't, but they can be a lot more flexible and aggressive with those guys now.

I really love hm the Reddick and Jefferson break down of the entire Kyrie situation especially from those 2. They made a lot of money and been all over the place.

Don’t forget that they still have no backup big behind Claxton.

Sharpe is not one now, which is what they need.

I guess things will change but it seems like Olynyk is the only one on the block. Wonder if the Nets could trade Harris and a pick for something like Burks and Stewart from Detroit. issue is Stewart as a big is only like 6'8.

Need my players to be long(pause)and athletic now. That should be the emphasis for building the team out for the rest of this season.

Not trying to see no more 2-3 guard lineups where they’re all 6’1.

Good win by the Knicks. Gotta give credit where it's due down 21 in the first. Sixers hit a cold stretch, the non-Embiid minutes were a non-surprising mess, turnovers in the second half, and Knicks attacking the class. It's weird how bad of a rebounding team Sixers has been since Simmons last played there. It's weird because their current starters are all average to good individual rebounder, but they are terrible team rebounders. They don't box out, Embiid gets lazy, and players think someone is going to get the board.

As good as Embiid has become he's got to be one of the worst rebounders with that mix of size, length, athleticism that you will ever come across. From Doc's perspective it's got to suck that he'll show flashes when he's got a key match-up but the rest of the time give so little effort. At least he's back to 10, he was hovering in the single digits most of this season. He's dropped each of the last 4 seasons now to the point that he went from a top 5 rebounder all the way down to not even being in the top 25.

I can't disagree at all. In a perfect world, you get that Nuggets game level rebounding effort from him all the time. But that's not going to happen. He even said before that he gets lazy on boxing out and rebounding. Last season, he was preserving energy by not always playing good defense or rebounding. This year, he's picked it back up on defense, but energy for rebounding dipped as low as its ever been. With how this team is constructed, there's no reason why he shouldn't be averaging over 13 rebounds a game. It's ashame that as you said, he was a top 5 rebounder and that was with Ben Simmons averaging over 7.

That's something that will hurt them in the playoffs. No trade is going to fix that. Even if they get someone line Drummond or Vanderbilt, they will be a bad rebounding team. Heck they had Drummond last year and was still second to last. It's an effort thing and it starts with Embiid. Too many times, you see opponents get second chance points on them. Nothing is worse than seeing a team get a three off of offensive rebound

Rebounding is effort and also coaching. And it’s also something that needs to be emphasized throughout the season, especially when you have the personnel.
