    Re: February Games Discussion Thread

Sixers sleep walking against Spurs so far. Any team can get got on any given night, but they do play down to opponents.

I wouldn't mind them kicking the tires on a Bamba trade. Hasn't always put it together and been consistent, but his skill set would be a good fit for the Sixers as a backup big. If they could wind up with Bamba and a capable 3 & wing, they would be straight.

When Jalen Suggs plays like this. Magic are though team. He's so good defensively.

          Celtics come back.

So many good games. This is probably the best night for crunchtime PXL_20230204_021139382.MP.jpg

Rockets seem to have no plan or identity and that’s concerning.

If it’s just throw the young guys out there and hope for growth, then that’s not a good plan.

I think that Jeebs is right in that they should make Sengun the centerpiece and surrounding him with players who are okay with filling a role around him, i.e. use Denver as a template.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I fully agree. At least with the Magic and Thunder, you have an idea of what they are trying to become. Thunder are an up and coming team and might compete for a playoff spot next year. Magic needs another year of development(they make a lot of young mistakes) and figure out who is staying, but you have an idea of what the identity is.

Rockets are just throwing random ingredients in a pot and hoping it comes out okay. I do agree with John Wall's comment about the young guys there and Eric Gordon's about not improving. At least with the other rebuilding teams, you can see the culture starting to develop. Rockets just seem a team of young guys doing what they want. I don't know whether Silas is the right coach for this team or they need the right veteran presence. Never thought the Porter Jr and Green backcourt made sense. They need a veteran PG who can guide them in the right path.

Like I said, with the other teams, you can see the path to success within a year or so. With the Rockets, they're still a couple years away from being a couple years away. I do wonder if they consider buying out Eric Gordon. I think the days of them trying to steal a first for Gordon are gone. His % are down, but I think playing with a true PG and better players, his stats will improve. I would definitely want the Sixers to go after Gordon if he was bought out

A lot of people have been saying why they don't run their offense through Sengun. But it's weird like you said

Glad Harden is taking those catch and shoot threes. He's shooting well on them. It was awkward last year with him being so reluctant and having to dribble into a shot. It's a good bounce back game for Maxey. Can't look at the points, but Thybulle has been playing well lately. He has been more aggressive, less hesitant on shots, and making more old Thybulle defensive plays. Just what the Sixers need, is for Thybulle to get his trade value back up lol
