You are limiting the scope....under 20's been coming in mass since '96...since then we've had:

Timmy, Stack, Sheed, AI, Ray-Ray, Irk(no D), Pierce, Nash, Matrix, Franchise, Baron....shall i go on?

Now I don't disagree with you completely. I don't think that its all on the kids...part of it is/was expansion with Minn/Orlando/Bobcats...too many scrubs have to be on the roster so they fill it with the overrated Derrick Fishers of the world.

I know this is off topic but is Laron Profit still playing in the league?.....hmmmm, so you might be right a lil' bit Brankles...

Answer this: Why the heck should fans pay PRO money to watch AMATUERS play?
For your list of High School Players who took years to develop, I'm going to list College players that took years to develop (Top 10 Only):
      1997: Chauncey Billups
      1998: Olowokandi (still kinda sucks)
      Larry Hughes
      Raef Lafrentz
1999: Lamar Odom, Richard Hamilton, Shawn Marion, Andre Miller
2000: Stromile Swift (still kinda ehh),
Jamal Crawford, K-Mart (even though injuries kinda held him back)
2001: Shane Battier, Rodney White, Joe Johnson, (out of top 10 Richard Jefferson, Zach Randolph)
      2002: Chris Wilcox

My thought process is this, since they need at least two years on average to develop(what they would get if they went to college(even Juco), to stop making AMATEUR mistakes, the same mistakes I saw cats I used to play with when I was younger make. They should NOT be in the league yet. I don't go to or watch a PRO game to watch a bunch of unseasoned, unproven high school all-stars......
They are looking out for their own interests, hell I'm looking out for mine...as a fan of the game.

Honestly brankles, as far as I'm concerned the only people that can really call themselves..."the man" (i guess it should be "the men") are:

Shaq, TD, JKidd, AI(sorry KG...took ya too long..lol)....only players to carry the ENTIRE team on their backs and WIN.....coincidently...all college stars.
Wow, that's a very interesting list. Four players spanning over 12 years of NBA drafts. It's also interesting, because Allen Iverson and Jason Kidd aren't exactly winning right now. They have winning records, but they're not headed for any championships anytime soon.

Just like Lebron, Shaq should be left off of that list as "THE MAN", because he is a freak as well.

So out of that list, Tim Duncan is the one that college has benefitted the most. Jason Kidd also benefitted from college, but it's not like he was going to be a preps-to-pros type of player. Allen Iverson, I don't believe, has benefitted at all from college. He's just as gangster in both lifestyle and playstyle as he was when he was a Freshman at Georgetown.
Please don't bring Kobe into this, because you know its bad when the Lakers are happy about a 2 game win streak....
Hehe I won't. He's an example of going to college would have been better for him. Or maybe a psychiatrist. Either one, he'd probably be a better ballplayer/person.

This whole mess is because of the BIASED NCAA rules and Overzealous NBA GM's!

I hope we dont blame an 18 year old kid for trying to make a good honest living?

These young men would be idiotic to pass up a chance like this, I left College myself to make money, instead of doing 10th grade algebra over until my major was free to except me. BLAH BLAH BLAH.

However free schooling cant be beat, wait Millions can buy you an even better education at your own pace.

HMMMMMMMMMMM I'm torn, I guess to each his own.

Whatever happens I hope these guys have FUN and cherish the expeirience.

Cause when its gone its gone. (two bad knees, shredded achilles speaking)

If the age limit was implemented when those guys were playing, they probably would've had to stay one more season which I think would've helped their developement even more.A guy like Rodney White,Wilcox who soul'dve never left early,Randolph only 1 year at MSU I believe...

There's a lot more than just them and those players went to college for three or four years.

dang near all these cats were either just at 20, or right before 20 when they had been drafted, and could've used an extra year of college. Plus nearly everyone you've mentioned also has been injury prone. Plus, brankles, all I'm saying is I don't to watch a bunch of high school all-stars not even the 1-2 yr removed peeps you mentioned above.

Where would you see a bunch of high school allstars? There are barely any high school players in the league.

dang near all these cats were either just at 20, or right before 20 when they had been drafted, and could've used an extra year of college.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Ditto. And also the reference to college players who didnt pan out is only an argument for the age limit. LaRon Profit was a good player in college and if a pro team was hitching their star to his wagon then they deserve what they get--but the point is that you could see from watching him in college that he may not be suited for the NBA. Lets say LaRon was 7 years younger and was one of these kids who turned pro out of HS then the NBA would have been exposed to greater risk since he had only played against HS competition etc.
