Re: ***Official Detroit Pistons 2006-07 Thread***
Yeah, they aren't very consistant on those T's, it's hard to really know what is or isn't going to be called. You just wait in anticipation, it's hilarious seeing players react, right after the fact, they've made a gesture, trying to "Take it back"...Like Wally did the other night against the Pistons, that was HILARIOUS! I've seen Tay do it a few times as well, lmao.Comment

Ya the Wally T was funny as heck. "No I'm sorry, please no, I didn't mean it. Damn". LOL. Its sad what this rule has done to some of these guys. I take it that Flip will get fined for his Playstation comments. He is right on though.Comment

Man, it was 5 against 8 last night. No doubt about it in my mind. Plus the Jazz got away with a lot of moving (illegal) screens to boot that weren't called.
That said, I can't get too mad about this loss because of the type of effort the Pistons played with. This game had the intensity of a playoff game. If they continue to play this way then the team should end up with at least .500 record on this trip.

There is an interview of Chauncey Billups posted on ESPN today. It's a good read.
There are some good comments from Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan regarding the Pistons offense inside yesterday's article from the http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll...7]Detroit News

Perhaps somebody should show Jazz coach Jerry Sloan the statistics.
After his team's shootaround Monday morning, Sloan praised the virtues of the Pistons' offense.
"Oh, I think they are hard to defend," he said. "They know how to execute. They are a wonderful team. I really enjoy watching them play, except when we have to play them. They do things right.
"They know how to get the ball to certain people in certain situations. They don't just rely on guys jumping up and shooting over the top of you. They do a lot of things within the team concept that I really appreciate."

Re: ***Official Detroit Pistons 2006-07 Thread***
Sheed couldn't get it going AT ALL last night. The Pistons relied way too much on the jumper in the 2nd half and sealed their fate. Ugly loss, since IMHO, the Kings aren't a good team. Kevin Martin went NUTS in the 2nd half.Comment

Ugh, it was a disgusting game from the Pistons. Sheed or Tay couldn't get it going offensively, nor could Dice. In fact, Jason Maxiell was our best forward playing last night. He should've gotten more playing time late in the game, but I can see why Flip went with the vets instead. Oh well. At least it appears Chauncey Billups has finally broke out of his shooting slump.

Thanks for fixing the link, KDRE.
I've come across some bad news. According to today's Pistons Bulletin update at MLive, Rip hurt his elbow in today's practice and it appears he may not be able to play tomorrow night against the Lakers.

RIP hyperextended his elbow in practice, he should be ok. Pistons didn't need him vs. the Lakers. Great game from Tay.
BTW, that crazy spin move shot Kobe pulled off. Yeah, that wasn't travelling, lol. Oh well, it's never called, so no biggy.
Good for the Stones to get a win, after that horrible showing in Sactown.Comment
