I think it's only a matter of time that both Tay and Rip are traded. There's too big a logjam at the SF and SG spots to keep Rip. And Tay has just about sealed his fate with the spat he had recently with coach Kuester in Oakland during late second quarter of the Warriors game. Tay's expiring contract will likely be an attractive piece to a contending team who may feel that they're a decent swingman away from winning a championship.

Yeah I read about that spat that Tayshaun had with Kuester and I was just all

Kuester has had fights with Tayshaun and Stuckey now. Tayshaun always seemed so 'good natured' to me. Weird.

As long as Prince doesn't sign with the Lakers, I'm ok with that. He's one of my favorite players, but I was so disappointed. I thought he would be much better by now.

Rip is another one of my favorite players...I'd be really sad to see him gone...but I guess we need a change. I'm still a big fan, and watch as many games as I can. I'm not giving up on this team!

This Pistons team has some nice pieces, but production coming from many of the players often cancel each other out due to the makeup of this severely unbalanced roster. For example, whenever Rip has a good game, Ben G on the other hand doesn't get playing time. Tay and Maxiell would have a good productive games, but on the contrary Daye doesn't see the floor and Monroe doesn't play many minutes.

This team needs a trade to be made in the worst way.

Boy, has this season gone down in flames after losing the lead and game to the Raptors after leading by 25+ points Saturday night at The Palace. The only things that have been good about this team is that Tay has been ballin' the last couple weeks which should help increase his trade value, plus the consistent progress of Greg Monroe and the occasional flashes of brilliance from T-Mac.

Yeah, that Raptors game was depressing. The sad thing is the lead never felt safe anyway. Even when we were up 19 at the half, Toronto was still shooting 67%. You knew as soon as the Pistons came back to earth Toronto would pull it off.

Oh well, at least Monroe looks to be a steady presence for the future.

What a laughingstock this franchise has degenerated into.

I've never, ever seen an instance where the same guy singlehandedly built a championship team with brilliant and shrewd personnel moves and then proceeded to tear it down with equally stupid and incompetent moves. I mean, honestly. Every piece of the title team in 04 was brought in by Dumars...and yet he has destroyed everything he built. I've never seen anything like it.

Just...blow this thing up...please. I understand that we just had an amazing and historic run, many times being one piece away from another NBA Championship, but it's pathetic how Dumars has squandered cap space, draft picks, personnel moves, and a roster that was filled to the brim with talent.

The fact that Need4Sheed has been hyping Will Bynum, a poor man's Lindsey Hunter with some hops, as worth our attention shows just how far our team has fallen.

Yeah. Was a great game tonight, even though Philly couldn't miss, especially mid range, the Pistons played hard and won anyway. Monroe had back to back double doubles and is showing great hustle. Daye was clutch and has the best stroke. At least we have a couple pieces to build around for the future.

I didn't watch that game, but I definitely hope Daye is NOT one of the pieces to build around. If this guy is anywhere higher than your 10-12th man on the bench - you're in big trouble.

What do you have against Daye? 6'11 with like 7'4 wingspan, sweet shooting stroke, can play multiple positions. I'm glad he's part of the organization.

I'm not impressed by wingspans, it's nice but you can have 7'4" wingspan and play in the D-League or some playground... I get the feeling that people try to make some kind of a (taller) Prince out of him, and boy he's not even close to that. And I'm saying that as someone who was really disappointed with Prince's career, even though I like him.

Daye has a sweet shooting stroke like once in 5 games, at least according the first 15 or so games I've watched this season. He seems to be able to play multiple positions, but in real life he doesn't play well either position. If this is our future...well...

Seriously, if we want to be a team that doesn't make the playoffs and can handle some of the better teams every now and then - yeah, we need this guy badly. But it's time to move on and put together a real squad. I don't think he would have got minutes during the 2003-2005 era, when the Pistons were on top. I guess it all depends on what you aim for...

Who makes him out to be another Prince? Just because they look alike? Please.

Like we said, he's 6'11 and can shoot. And he can get his shot off over just about anybody in the league. He's shooting 44% from 3 and 42% from the field.

But finally, he's played a shade over 1,000 minutes in the league and you're already making assumptions on what type of player he is going to be. He's coming along great. He's not the type of player who is going to be fully developed right away. Everybody knew it would take time before he got the feel of the game down and therefore got his stroke going. And he's shooting the ball great this year.

Look at this minutes per 36 minutes this year. He's averaging 15 and 7 and shooting nice percentages. What are you expecting?
