Game is on ESPN tonight! So with Melo out, who starts at 3, and who covers Bron Bron? My vote goes to Jeffries.

No Melo and no Wade...not even sure if it's worth staying in on a Friday night to watch this game.

Maybe Fields will start on Bron. I wish we matched up better, I wouldn't mind seeing Shumpert on him for a few possessions.

Why dont they post Amar'e up in the low post?? I know he's not a post up player, but he can still face up and only needs a drop step to get in the paint and finish.
Defenses will have to double team.

Seven turnovers in the 4th quarter - so sick of Toney Douglas.

That halfcourt alley-oop to Chandler looked like something I would've tried on 2k a few years back.

WFAN was talking about rumors on Friday that there was a chance that Pringles would be fired if we lost both games this weekend. One loss down, let's see what we've got tonight.

Last night we kept it close, I think tonight is the blowout.

One part of me wants us to lose and the other one doesn't. The first half of me really wants D'Antoni gone, but the other half really believes in him and also believes that Baron Davis coming back will help.

                I'm torn between two sides.

Every now and then a small amount of "feel bad for Pringles" leaks in to my mind for all the obvious reasons.

But then I get back to all the obvious reasons that he should be fired and it vastly outweighs the prior category.

If the Knicks don't fire D'Antoni NOW, then I don't see us winning a title in my lifetime. And I'm only 15 lol

I'll be dead before they win another title, but at least I saw the first two.

I was in favor of the Carmelo trade, so I can't go back now. You need at least two superstars to have a chance in this league. But maybe Donnie Walsh was right. Maybe Dolan should have waited and not given up so much. Who knows? Was there a chance NY would lose Carmelo to another team?

I'm just sick of watching ex-Knicks have good games against this team. Even friggin' Jordan Hill played well last night. The bench is woeful - Shumpert is struggling and Landry Fields is totally lost.

Six games under .500 with the Pistons and Bulls coming up.....sigh.....

It's funny that every NY media/coach/player that goes on record says that coaching is the least of this team's problems and every fan and non-NY affiliated media person says the opposite. It's cute that some people are standing up for Pringles but the fanbase isn't being fooled.

I was also in favor of the Melo trade for all the reasons Jeff listed and I'm not going back. If we didn't make the trade we're stuck as a team that would never have a chance of advancing past the second round. We made the right move.

There are still so many improvements we can realistically make to this team. Better coach, a point guard or two, a deeper bench. All things that can be added by the start of next season.

The biggest thing will remain be is if Melo and Amare can coexist. I knew it'd be rough but I'm not giving up yet, Melo needs to adjust his game for sure though. If he can't then A) he's not nearly the player most thought he was B) we are ****ed.

It's definitely coaching. Players can do whatever they want on the court or the coach can tell them to stop doing it and do something else.

D'Antoni has refused to stop Melo from over shooting or to devise an offensive system that fits the demands of his two scorers.

He's stubborn. I don't care what anyone says that defends him. "Oh, he didn't want Carmelo." Who cares? He has him. Learn to use him or get out of the building.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

It's definitely the coaching. I can think of many scenarios where Melo and Stat can be used to manipulate a defense.

You have 2 superstars! Defenses have to know where they are at all times. use that to your advantage.

Instead Pringles makes it easy for opponents and Iso's one star while the other just stands and stares. WTF?!

Like WFAN's Joe & Evan said, Pringles is a genius at running HIS offense with HIS kind of players. He can't adjust his system to the players he's dealt with. That's what great coaches do. When Pat Riley came here, he didn't run Showtime.
