this game 2nd under woodson vs Indiana

The kid has a bright future. IMO. I'm hoping this Felton move pays off tho. He brings better defense.
I think it's time we move on.
And besides...That was Derrick Rose's first game back coming off an injury. Healthy head on...it would've been seriously ugly.

Birdman? I hope Grunwald is not that stupid or desperate.

I have heard they have interest in Donta Green and Lou Amunduson (sp).

      Amar'e on the Dream's tutelage:

He (Olajuwon) helped me a lot.” “A lot of moves that he has really, really translate to my game. To now develop a post game is going to be remarkable for me. It’s going to catch a lot of my opponents off guard and it’s going to be a great year for me.

Let's hope that a) Carmelo's play during the Olympics carries over to the Knicks and b) Amar'e comes back with a vengeance and he & Anthony develop chemistry. If that happens, NY can be a top 4 team in the conference.

In case nobody noticed, what appeared to be our new unis showed up in the NBA 2k13 Developer insight.

Also, Amar'e said he's ready to commit on defense. I hope it's not just all talk because he could be a physically imposing defensive player if he tried.

“Defense is the key to win championships, that’s something I’m dedicated on also, to become a much, much better defensive player,” Stoudemire said. “It’s going to happen. It’s a matter of preparation and practice and getting that chemistry down on that end of the court.

Well, that's all and nice Stoudemire. I'm glad you're finally just now realizing basketball is played on both ends of the court.

I'll believe it when I see him actually jump for a rebound.

Or not sidestep a PG waltzing through the lane.

Bad habits are quite hard to unlearn.

It took him this long to 'get it'. Same with Carmelo.

We'll see how bad these cats are in Brooklyn opening night.

Far from the first time Amare has talked about defense being important. He generally says the right things. I'll believe it when I see it.

Amare just needs to be quiet, no one believes the bull**** coming from his mouth.

The last thing I need is another NY fan base dogging me when my team loses to theirs.

I think I might slap* every ship jumping Knicks fan that dares talk about "their" team beating the Knicks if the Nets win on opening night.

The ship-jumping 'fans' weren't true fans to begin with. A true hardcore fan is a cat like me. I was twelve the last time the Knicks won anything, and I've had nothing but heartache every year since then. Don't even get me started on the last ten. Despite all that, despite the brain-dead owner, I still live and die with this franchise. I should have my friggin' head examined.

                          Thank goodness for the Giants.

Dude..at least you were alive when they won one. I've been starving like Marvin.

This city would flip out beyond anything I can imagine if the Knicks ever won one again. I have no doubt it would be much bigger than if the Jets (last local team not to win one) won.

I could see the city shutting down for a day.

Yep. If the Knicks win a title, it might be bigger than the Yankees winning three-straight.

True...at least I saw the first two, but that was ages ago. I'd like another title before I leave this earth.

I'd be less frustrated if the Knicks handled their business in '94. That was their year and they blew it. It still bugs me to this day. Forget '99, I knew they were dead going in without a healthy Ewing.
