I thought he was never eligible to begin with IIRC while he was at Providence.

I don't think he has the discipline to play in our system.

Would've rather seen Thanis called up regardless of his contract situation.

HUGE game tonight vs the T-Wolves.

It'll result in a two game swing in the loss column.

Someone please tell Galloway he doesn't have to try to earn his 2nd year contract.

Galloway and Shved almost cost us the loss. I was rooting hard for the wolves to win. lol Even with only 8 guys suited up they still had more talent on the floor at the end of the game.

Getting killed by the Wolves and Sixers, I'm gonna be really pissed if we don't get the #1 pick.

I never paid that close attention to the lottery results over the years, it's crazy that only three times since 1990 has the worst team gotten the top pick. Don't hold your breath.

I'm just hoping for Top 2, give me Towns or Okafor and I won't complain.

Just can't see something that comes down strictly to luck going well for this franchise.

The best thing that comes from having the worst record is that you are guaranteed a TOP 4 Pick in the lottery.

This year if any, isn't a bad year to have a TOP 4 Pick

Yeah, we certainly picked a good year to be terrible. There hasn't been this much depth at the top of the draft in a while. We're guaranteed Towns, Okafor, Russell or Mudiay if we finished with the worst record. That's not a terrible thing.

How mad or hopeful would you be?

                    C- Jahlil Okafor
                    PF- Greg Monroe
                    SF- Carmelo Anthony
                    SG- Tim Hardaway Jr.
                    PG- Brandon Knight

I don't know if anyone realizes it but the pickings in 2015 are beyond slim. 2016 is actually the better year for FA.

That is not a good lineup at all. But it's possible. Knight is a RFA but I couldn't find a decent PG worth listing outside of Rondo who they'd never bring in.

Tobias Harris is also a RFA so I put Monroe in.

We're not getting Marc Gasol or LaMarcus Aldridge.

Can't see Chicago not matching Jimmy Butler or San Antonio not matching Kawhi Leonard.

I disdain Monroe, I'll be very upset if we go after him.

I said this previously but we're just about to end a 5-year stretch of bigs who can't rebound or defend (Amare & Bargs) so we don't need to go out and sign another guy who fits that mold. Plus he is so incredibly slow. Freakin Lou Admundson had 17 & 14 against Monroe. We are going nowhere if we give that guy a big deal.

I also think Monroe and Okafor are a very bad pairing. Monroe & Towns, maybe, but I'd rather save the cap space for 2016.

I have a good feeling about it this year. The NBA wants NY to get better. at least thats what i tell myself.

I was thinking the same thing. If we get Okafor, they need to get a PF that will pick up the defensive slack. Although Monroe is a great rebounder.

Trust me, it was very difficult to fill in the PF, SF and PG slots because it seems that all of the good young players are RFAs, not UFAs.

I put Monroe knowing full well LaMarcus isn't coming here.

                            Paul Milsap?

I think with the Knicks spending so much time at UK, they'll probably go with Towns if they get the 1st pick.

Either way, that lineup may at most fight for an 8th spot.

If we're sticking with the triangle, it's probably best to draft a post player, stash a Euro, stick with Calderon and then just pocket the money until '16 with the higher cap.

I just did this to envision what could be possible next year and reality has set that it will be just as bleak. We're definitely not making a one year jump.

It's going to take Phil's full 5 years to put together a contending team. And I doubt him and Dolan have the patience for that.

If prefer to get someone like Omer Asik for rebounding and rim protection, move Melo to the 4 full time, draft Russell and maybe get someone like Tobias Harris.

I'm also not a fan of Monroe but I just don't think Melo can handle defending wing players anymore. If we can somehow get Draymond Green, that would be ideal. I think he's a RFA though so we will have to overpay.

Yep, it's very thin. That's why I'm getting more and more worried that Phil will try trading our pick for vet.

We aren't going to improve the roster that much this summer via FA and we don't have our 2016 pick. Phil will feel pressured into making some type of win-now decision and the only asset we have left is this year's pick.

I wonder if we'll go after DeAndre Jordan. Him, Okafor and Melo would be quite a front court. Not exactly inline with the modern NBA's smallball but intriguing nonetheless.

I believe GSW already publicly stated the will match any offer on Green.
