Yeah I think he's going to try to deal for Reggie again at the deadline using a TPE. I don't think OKC is going to pay Reggie and he's going to try to get max or near-max money.[NYK|DAL|VT]

LEGIT point guard is a priority too. Remember, Carmelo had his best seasons playing with cats like Billups and Kidd.Comment

What assets do we have left to trade for Jackson? No way we're trading picks, or at least I hope we aren't. If Jose was involved we'd certainly have to sweeten the deal with a 1st rounder."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Isn't Reggie Jackson's contract up after the year? Why trade for him now even if we could?Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

The Calderon rumors are separate from the Jackson rumors, though I don't think Jackson would hesitate trading Jose to OKC for the right offer which includes Reggie.
ehh, your right that moving Calderon will not be as easy without adding an asset. I'm just hoping any moves made are trying to net us a 1st in next years draft, since we don't have 1 due to the Bargnani FailComment

RJ's a RFA. Best to just make an offer in July and force OKC's hand to try and match it. Let the poison pills work for us this time around.
I think we should just be patient on all moves.
There are going to be a few bad teams out there around the trading deadline scared that they'll lose a player in free agency. Al Jefferson has a Player Option for next year. Charlotte has sucked. Maybe his agent will threaten opting out leaving them with nothing. We put up Calderon and our TPEs to make it work.
I'm just glad to be on this side of the fence for a change.Comment

They signed Langston Galloway to a 10 day contract yesterday. The Post also reported that they might move Prigs. So basically, anyone not named Melo or THJR is up for sale.

We might as well move THJr while we're at it. He's a nice scorer off the bench but that's it - move him while he still has some value. No one will want Prigs, we'll have to waive him.
Back to Jackson, I can't imagine OKC giving him up for cheap but you never know. I don't really care of we get him or not though."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Keep THJr. The kid has so much going for himself. His downfall is bad decision-making and lack of defense.
But to me, he has "it" potential. Just needs the situation to be stabilized and he'll be fine. You don't give up on a kid like him so soon.Comment

If the intention was to blow this thing up there was no reason to resign Anthony. I don't see the big deal here anyway the Knicks history is the Mets not the Yankees. They've been historically bad not good some decent teams on occasion but they are more often bad not good.Comment

I gotta say it irks me that Cleveland gave up TWO first rounders in the Mosgov trade. We couldn't even get a late 1st for Shump & JR? Crazy.
At this point I'm already getting skeptical regarding his potential. He can't dribble, can't pass, can't defend and isn't the best decision-maker out there. Yes, he plays hard which is always great to see but I don't think he should be untouchable by any means.Last edited by ehh; 01-07-2015, 05:39 PM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

TH Jr. has shown no growth in his game this year at all. He's still a chucker who plays no defense and makes bad decisions.
I'm hoping they package him with Calderon in a trade to clear more CAP space and maybe a pick back

Re: The 2015 New York Knicks: Year 1 of Life "After" Dolan
There may be less than a handful of players playing better than him for a guy picked 24th.
You don't give up on a player in a year and a half unless they totally suck. He's not even close to that.
With that kind of thinking we might as well go back to what we were under Isaiah trading away 1st rounders and young players for homerun swings.Comment
