Just read that Webster will be out an additional 4-6 weeks... ouch. Supposedly he came back too soon and re-injured his foot against Toronto. Not good news.

Re: The Official Portland Trailblazers Thread
I think we will be fine without Martell.
What a tough game...Tough tough tough. Good thing I had a 12 pack of vented coors light lol.
15-8 going on the road for a big game against Utah. We need to prove to the nation we can win the big games.Comment

Re: The Official Portland Trailblazers Thread
Great win tonight even though it was against Washington. 3 assists and Roy would've had a triple double the tough way (points, steals and assists). I was a bit concerned when Blake went down with the shoulder injury but I think Bayless and Sergio will do a decent job filling in for him. Good to see Oden have another great night too.Comment

Alright, its playoff time!!! Hoecourt for the first round!!! I think we matchup well with Houston, but Oden and Pryz will be the key to victory imo. thoughts? The Sports Preacher

Re: The Official Portland Trailblazers Thread
Tough matchup for Portland.
Battier and Artest could make Roy work to get whatever points he can.
Blazers have no answer for Brooks (unless they can get Derek Fisher exemption from the refs for neutralizing quick PGs).
And looks like Scola schooled Aldridge.
Of course, Yao is going to get his (unless playing the Lakers).
Blake is a nice spotup shooter and Roy can create shots for others. But Blazers really need a PG who can penetrate, more consistent scoring from the 3 and a more consistent sixth man. Maybe Fernandez can develop over time into the latter but they essentially need another guy who can create his own shots like Roy.Comment

Re: The Official Portland Trailblazers Thread
I see its been quiet in here. I was listening to the local radio here and there were some interesting scenerios thrown out there by the hosts. The thing that really struck me as weird was everyones doubt in signing Hedo and whether it would make them better, are the fans here in Portland really that stupid? I mean Portland basically has to move Brandon Roy to PG at the end of games because their PG's are terrible and having Hedo would allow him to handle the ball and take a ton of stress off of Roy in end of game situations. Portland weak spots are PG and SF, Hedo is such a step up over Outlaw that I dont see this as even a debate. Portland doesnt have any real gunners on the perimeter outside of Rudy and Hedo helps there as well. In the end Im left scratching my head about the Portland fans yet again.Comment
