man they have a very exciting squad. I don't know what they will do this year but future wise they are very well positioned for a post lakers/san antonio run for a few years.

Well this will be the first time in life that I have left my local team and thrown my allegiance to a team outside of my area. i am normally a die hard support your hometown squad, but the Mavs and Cuban especially have caused me to jump ship. I am a Portland Fan now. I will probably always have a soft spot for the Mavs, but unless a serious change is made they won't get anymore of my money or attention. So Portland fans, will you have me?

Im tired of bandwagoners. People dont come around til' we start winning and they claim to be Blazer fans...It's really irritating. Buy atleast $200 worth of Blazer merchandise and you can be a Blazer fan.

Not trying to come around when they are winning, just admiring the talent. There is no guarantee that they will win or that the mix of talented young players will gel this season. But I apreciate your loyalty, my being a fan of your team is a mix of my distain for my home team and looking around the nba for a coach, front office, and players that makes up a quality team. Love me or hate me, you are stuck with me.

Its obvious that Rudy will start at the 3 and outlaw back him up, my question when looking at the potential starting 5, will bayless be ready to start over blake this season?

Ummm Nate McMillan will NOT let two rookies be in the starting lineup.

C- Oden
PF- Lamarcus
SF- Webster
SG- Roy
PG- Blake

That will be our projected starting lineup

C- Oden
PF- Lamarcus
SF- Webster (Could switch to Outlaw or Fernandez)
SG- Roy
PG- Blake (Bayless will have to do a lot to prove he is a PG in this league)

IMO the Bayless and Fernandez combo is sexy.

I expect Rudy to be starting or playing starters minutes by playoffs, he is freakishly athletic and fearless. But what a great problem to have. Bayless is a baller, and can really strecth the defense for aldrige/fry Oden with his outside shooting.

At this point it doesnt matter who starts or come off the bench...We are so deep that it just does not matter.

The question I have is Roy ready to take the next step and become a star at the sg spot. I think he is well on his way, but with a little more consistency and if he can improve his outside touch a little bit he will be in the level right behind Kobe IMO.
