Did y'all hear DSJ's interview during the game the other night? He said he was rebuilding his jumpshot completely this offseason.

I did, hopefully it's legit. If he can get his shot more consistently and Knox carries over what he was doing the last few weeks of the season it'd be big for us. I'm excited to see what those 2 and Frank have added to their games.

His J looked smoother and tigther--less wasted motion--in the clips they showed from him at SL practices.

His footwork has always been a trainwreck on his jumper but his other huge problem is consistency. I could never choose a signature shot for him in 2K because damn near every jumper he takes his form looks different.

I'm confused with this Morris situation, what's the hold up? Offers are apparently on the table, Spurs offered the MLE so they can't clear more space to offer more so there's no leverage play, what are we waiting on? Also how is our lineup going to look, what is going on with Bullock and how do he and Ellington fit into all of this?

          DSJ, Payton, Frank
          RJ, Trier, Ellington, Dotson
          Bullock, Knox
          Randle, Morris, Taj
          Portis, Mitch

Who starts? If Knox can keep his shot going he should be fine. Frank going to be fighting for minutes but if he gets them he'll surely have earned them. Not even sure I expect them to try him too much at guard anymore. Development is going to be interesting with so many guys to spread minutes around to. Morris might be worth something to someone at the deadline, maybe Bullock. Trier and Dot are restricted at the end of the season as well so that's something else to look at.

The fact that we're going after Morris at all is weird. Gibson is barely going to be in the rotation. I'm not sure that's what he anticipated when he signed here since he was still playing 25 mpg last year (putting up 10/6) and started a good chunk of the season. Randle will be playing about 30 mpg and Morris will should get 20-25.

Unless we're playing Gibson as our backup defensive C option as a small five I'm not sure he'll see many minutes until someone gets injured. Maybe he knew that going in and is fine with that but knowing the type of competitor is it seems unlikely to me.

Mitch will start. I can't imagine we'd start with a Randle/Portis frontcourt; that's about as bad as it gets defensively. I think Payton will be the starter on opening night. He provides better defensive and playmaking than DSJ.

Our second unit could be an even bigger travesty defensively. If it's DSJ, Trier, Knox, Morris, Portis...*** ****. I have no idea how Dot and Ellington are fitting into this, let alone Frank.

                PG- DSJ/Payton/Frank
                SG- RJ/Trier/Ellington/Dotson
                SF- Knox/Morris/Bullock
                PF- Randle/Portis
                C- Mitch/Gibson

That’s my assumption while also slotting Wooten as PF.

I also believe IF Frank gets any minutes at all..it’ll be at SF not PG.

Celtics fans have said Morris plays the 3 better than the 4.

Looking at that roster is frightening because everything tells me that Fiz won’t give the kids the minutes they’re going to need to properly develop.

Every single bench player is better than the starter except at PF & C.

Barrett looked a little better last night. He played noticeably more under control and with a bit of pace; not a surprise that his turnovers were drastically reduced. He still had plenty of bad moments but he had his fair share of good moments as well.

RJ with by far his best Summer League game. He's gotten better each game which is what you like to see.

21-8-10 with only 2 turnovers. +25 on the court.

He seemed much more under control and did a great job getting to the rack and line early. He forced maybe 1 three pointer up and everything else came in rhythm. Did a good job setting up teammates for buckets out of the pick and roll and in transition. However, he turned down the opportunity to pass the ball ahead in transition at least twice, opting to try to go all the way himself. Overall, good confidence builder for him and us Knicks fans.

                        Kenny Wooten is playing volleyball.

I have serious doubts if he can do this against actual NBA players. But it is good to see a defensive-minded Knick on the court.

Really want to see Wooten and Hinton in the G-League.

Morris deal done, 1/15. Bullock deal renegotiated, 2 years at less than the 4.7 mil exception. Not a ton of detail there other than unexpected health complication, not expected to be ready by the beginning of the season. Read an article that said Morris and Randle are the likely starters at forward.

Unrelated, every time I see the word Oakley I get a little angry. I don't even want to hear about an oak tree, **** Professor Oak at this point. This is Tiki on steroids.

Starting Morris over Knox is so short sighted.

You spent a Top 10 pick on him to have him come off the bench his second year for a guy on a 1 year deal who is just showcasing himself for next year?

I seriously hope the reports are false.

Sadly that's probably what's gonna happen. I can see Morris pouting big time if he doesn't start.

Not sure on details, but another thing people brought up yesterday was that at 15 mil, to trade him for a pick to a contender at the deadline they'd have to match his salary, and we don't have any roster spots open to take on extra guys so that could be an issue. I'm not sure the plan is to trade anyone for assets anyway.

                                For ****s sake:
