I'm not sure if this has been asked of the CAB yet, so forgive me if it has.
But can you create a boxer with low-cut shoes and no socks - via Tyson?

    Thanks!

Good luck winning that Braddock vs. Baer fight. You are in the 5th round, Baer has full health and you only get to fight the 5th round. I pummeled him to the body as much as I could, but I couldn't get him down. I am not really sure what I could have done differently.

Thats not really true because the punch totals are dead on....And believe me, there are more knockdowns in Prizefighter than there should be.

Funny, in exhibition mode that's not the case.

                Re: Anyone get prizefighter yet?

To those interested in how the scoring works, it's really bad. And that's taking a very objective view of it. I enjoy the gameplay, especially online, but the judging is very near to being a gamebreaker. In fact I'm debating whether I'm going to play online unless they patch the judging. Here's why

Judges scorecards do not differ. Out of the 20 or so fights I've fought since having the game, all 3 judges' scorecards have been the exact same. This includes multiple 10-10 rounds, scored 10-10 by all 3 judges. The online fights I've had were all close in terms of action; I usually landed the bigger shots, while my opponent landed more jabs/less powerful shots, yet the judging did not take aggressiveness/power into account at all.

Example; Berto vs. Collazo, I was Berto. The entire fight I pressed the action, unloading big hooks when Collazo was on the ropes. He tagged me all fight as well, but it was close because I was landing the big shots. In round 11 I landed a signature punch that had him nearly out on his feet (about 1 millimeter of life left, after having 3/4ths life before getting hit with that punch). In any system that would have been my round, since he was saved by the bell. I did steady work all fight, and even round 12 Collazo played stay away the entire round, just firing a few jabs here and there, and they still gave him that round. He ended up winning 120-112 on all 3 cards (2 10-10 rounds), I didn't win a round. I could not believe it, because in real life, this would have been a split decision and VERY difficult to score. It could have went either way and the cards did not reflect that at all.

So, the judging is very bad. I really, really hope they fix this, as it's almost a gamekiller in my eyes. The online gameplay is so fun, it's a shame it's ruined by terrible scoring AI.

Knockdowns-like my matchups with me as Pavlik and the CPU as Berto. In one fight I KOed Berto after ONE knockdown. Pavlik can take a punch but in a 5 round 2 min a round fight he was never knocked down more than 3 times before a stoppage occured.

Plus, his face was busted up man. He had big welts under his right eye. I did the most damage in the fight. Not only that but I pressed the action, and his shots were not nearly as damaging. Although he did land alot, alot of the shots were jabs, while my shots were hooks, uppercuts and straight right hands. Not to mention that huge shot in the 11th. Overall he outlanded me 500 to 400 (IIRC), it was a really busy fight

In career mode, you can count on seeing an average of 4 knockdowns per fight. In a 10 round fight. Don't get me wrong, Ive had some good matches with most fights going into the 9th or 10th round. But I've only had 2 fights go to the cards in 20 career fights. I lost both and the scores were the exact same from all 3 judges.

I did have a "flash KO" last night. It was the 7th round, the guy had not been down yet. I hit him with the liver punch as he was going to try to hook me to the body as well. He had about half a bar of power left and I dropped him. He stayed on 1 knee for the entire count.

I also KO'd a guy with 3 seconds left in the 10th round with a straight right that sent him reeling. I was ahead on the scorecards by 1 point, but I thought I was down a few because I had been down twice and he had only been down once.

After playing the game today and starting my career. Here's what i think so far. I like the career mode and i love the fact that they have Jim Lampy. I think its a decent 1st attemp from 2k but it needs alot of polishing. The commentating is awful because Jim barely says anything. The controls feel slugish and unresponsive. I also feel they could have done a much better job with the animations. They dont really look that smooth. Overall its a decent game that has alot of potential to be great.
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.
