    Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

I bumped up the awr and dmg and have had a couple of great fights after.

The rank 23 guy challenged me, and I accepted. It was an even match for a while, due to his speed and defence keeping me at bay. In the 8th I caught him with a flash and proceeded to pummel him until he dropped, he did not get up.

I thenk took on the 18th ranked guy, who had a surprising low 70 ovr vs my 79. He had a weak punch, but was a southpaw and about my speed, who backtracked most of the fight. By the 8th round I floored him for the 4th time and he was out for the count.

I still get alot of KOs, but I am a heavyweight power-puncher and most fighters are still beneath an 80 ovr. I can't wait to hit the top15.
It isn't how good you are. It's chaos and luck and anyone who thinks differently is a fool.

Is their any website or anything that shows a bunch of different slider settings. Looking threw all these post is a drag. Who's sliders are the best or most popular?

Try this out. It's not 100% up-to-date, but it's close.

I think I managed to fix some of the KO issues. I just knocked out Tommy Morrison with Mike Tyson in the 8th round. It was the first knockdown for either fighter and he simply didn't get up. Tyson dominated - somewhat expected with a 4-point OVR advantage - but both fighters took punches without going down, so that was encouraging. Back to tweaking.

            ROFLMAO

I think I may have done TOO good of a job. I just went the DISTANCE as Tyson against Eddie Chambers. He freaking knocked me down with a counter uppercut halfway through the first. The next knockdown after that was me knocking him down with 10 seconds left in the TENTH ROUND! I didn't knock him down until his blue health bar was barely even visible. I landed a boatload of hooks and uppercuts to the right side of his head too, but never even freaking stunned him.

The one thing I liked was that it was a completely different fight than Morrison. Morrison came at me and threw alot of power punches. In this fight, I was the aggressor and Chambers continuously backed away and used the jab to keep me at a distance.

I think I just had a breakthrough in my own skill, independent of the sliders.

I just beat Roy Jones Jr. with Joe Calzaghe, knocking him out after knocking him down once in the 5th and twice more in the 8th.

What was significant about that is that I connected on 375/617 punches for 60%, while he only connected on 44% of his punches. That's the first time I ever remember holding the CPU under 50%, albeit it was on Pro. I actually held him under 40% in 4 of the 8 rounds.

Here's the sliders I'm using right now:

              Difficulty - Pro
              RFA - 10
              RDA - 10
              PWR - 6
              SPD - 3
              DAM - 10
              TGH - 5
              COA - 10
              CDA - 10
              OUT - 2

                      hey parker ,
can you post your current settings for fight now I moved up to goat/champ since I studied the game more .
I find cpu OA on higher settings helps me defend more and choose my spots.
do you think the dlc will help your overall slider satisfaction ?
I have just been enjoying the game and have my 40 man cabs complete .
Jukeman how are you goat stats for fight now ? thanks guys

Well, for one, I wonder if it wasn't because I was using Calzaghe. Moving in and out, weaving, punching on the move - it all felt really fluid.

I need to do some more testing to see.

                          I'll have to find them.

I need to play around with the awareness sliders some more, because Pro is just way too easy.

And yes, I do think the DLC will help because of the ability to manipulate the counter window. Hopefully we'll be able to turn it off altogether, because right now the whole game revolves around the counter.

                            OUT - 2
I went down to Pro too. Champion was fun, but not when you're constantly getting killed...

I used your Champion settings, bumped down to Pro, and edited some the CPU sliders after the opponent I faced

                            Difficulty - Pro

                            Ref Foul AWR - 10
                            Ref DAM AWR - 10
                            PWR - 7
                            SPD - 3
                            DAM - 10
                            TGH - 5
                            CPU Off AWR - 5
                            CPU Def AWR - 7
                            Output - 5

I noticed after two matches that the CPU boxer wasn't throwing punches w/ output at 1. They'd get in close and have their hands up in defense too often. At 5 the cpu was throwing a good amount of punches, still efficient, and not over-throwing.
