EA going backwards? FN4 is a step back from FN3

as the novelty is wearing off.. the two greatest things i can say about this game are
1. self CAB
2. uploading ko videos online

...after that I'd say FN3 is better and I am dissapointed with FN4

anyone else feel the same way? that EA took a step back with this game?

when the two best things you can say about the game are CAB and upload videos, and nothing about actual gameplay

......I dunno man, maybe it's me but in my never humble opinion

besides skin texture and lighting, i can not think of a single thing round 3 does better than round 4

No dude learn to play the game fN4 isn't perfect but way better than fn3.......Let it go!!!!

I personally like FN4 a bit better. I played FNR3, won some titles with my created guys and it wore real thin on me. I feel this time around there is alot more value and replayability. I fought about 5 fights online last time but there was too much cheese. At least this year I feel I have a chance to win against those that use the same tactics as FNR3. 5-4 online so far.

I do think presentation was far superior in FNR3 though.

There's absolutely nothing about NFR4 that makes me yearn for R3. Nothing.

styles
graphics
no spamming
better stamina
boxers felt different not just clones
counterpunching/dodging
stick and move
punches had weight
gameplay besides the terrible parry system




but even with all my hate towards the game i still think it is solid 7, if they add buttons even higher, i like many things they did here but do also feel they regressed

I think the game is a mixed bag. As for me the legacy mode or career mode is better in FN4, but the online was alot better on Round 3. Even if a guy cheesed on 3 I could do something about it but on 4 I lose 3 out of 4 against those types of players.

3 looked better of course im sure we can all agree on that and also 3 had a better signature style than 4 does. I still dont understand why certain guys like Hatton have a bolo punch? That is one of the things that seems like the FN team just went completely away from signature style. I still think FN4 is a better game overall though.

They just needed to make a few minor adjustments IMO. They did take a step back in a few areas. And a few forward in others.

I honestly can't think of a single thing FNr3 did better. This game is better offline and online in everywhich way one looks at it. I think many still have beef over no buttons so therefore can't appreciate non of it.

Im missing that swing camera angle that was in FNR3. Why EA leaves out things that were in previous games is just idiotic.

You mean sig punchs not styles, fn 3 was good but imo i felt it was the old gen engine with good graphics. Fn 4 first fight night I actually had a match go to a decision.

I think fnr4 is better than 3 in every way possible...even the graphics.
