He is one of the good ones. Doesn't get as many high profile fights because he is stationed out of Cali, but he rarely makes himself part of the action unless he has to.

my next event for anyone is southern ontario Nov 30th ... no big names but it should be fun and hopefully a couple of slugfests.

The same night in Quebec City, Adonis Stevenson is fighting as well as the Powerful Russian Kovalev, who knocked out Lonnie B - and the reason I know Lonnie B is because he was on a show of mine last year and later I was asked to provide footage for NBC. Little did I know he would get TKO'd by kovalev - that is impressive to me since Lonnie is very hard to hit and is a boring counter-puncher, so kudos for being able to stop him.

I've never heard of his opponent the british guy other than his one loss is the one name I recognize in cleverly. WBC silver belt holder is something, but it doesn't mean your legit on the world-level.

Missed it. Someone told me Pac didn't look as powerful.

I also missed it also. But I know that Rios can take a beating and not go down. He has a granite chin, so there's that.

From all accounts Pac won easily and looked better than he has in years.
But the reality is, he hasn't shown any kind of power since moving up to 147.
His last stoppage was in 2009 against Cotto and that was at a catchweight of 145.

I've always felt Pac's best weight was between 135 and 140.
At 147, he simply doesn't have the pop necessary to end fights. Even moreso now that he's older.

True, but he was still fighting a natural 140 LB guy in Rios. Hard to believe it's been 3 1/2 years since his domination of Hatton, for a 140 crown.

I know. I saw both fights with Alvarado.

Adonis Stevenson takes on Englishman Tony Bellows this Saturday. Bellows knocked out a declining Edison Miranda a year ago, but two years ago couldn't beat an overrated Nathan Cleverly. The same Cleverly who was brutally mugged by Sergey Kovalev, who will be on the undercard fighting Ismayl Sillakh. Sillakh is a capable guy with good power, but it looks like they're setting up the irresistible force versus the immovable object (Stevenson VS Kovalez)...or something like that.

Stevenson should end this one early and rather easily, imo.

Yeah, this was my first time watching him fight(I'd heard a lot about him). Looked pretty great tonight, impressive fight by him. Though i'm always curious how someone like that will look against top level competition. I'd love to see Andre Ward fight either of these guys(Kovalev or Stevenson). But if he doesn't, they should fight each other, or if bernard hopkins is serious about wanting a big fight, he should step up and take on one of them. Interesting fights all around. Light heavy weight division isn't looking too shabby now.

                              Hopkins wants Mayweather at 160.

Which Hopkins damn well knows will never happen. No one is paying to see a 90 year old man fight Floyd when Floyd fights at 147 and 154 anyways. Hopkins just wants to hit the Mayweather lottery, as there is no fight anywhere else that can guarantee the kind of money a Floyd fight can.
