Floyd has fought with 8 oz gloves most of his career. I can't see him having much of a problem against Conor at this point even given his age. He's tough to hit and he will be on his horse all the time.

I went to Canelo/Chavez for the same reason. I didnt think it would be a competetive fight and it wasnt. I went because it was a great spectacle with two of the biggest Mexican fighters fighting each other.

Conor and Dana are trying to sell a fight. What do you expect them to do? Dana: "Conor is first time professional boxer and he's fighting an all time great. He has no chance" LOL. They are trying to get people to watch the fight.

The reason why Conor's odds are higher is because 1) Floyd is 40. 2) Conor has a huge following and 3)The odds are still decent if you want to put money on Conor. Most people didnt know who Ortiz was when he fought Floyd. Same with Maidana.
      I'm talking about post-fight excuses.

What did McGregor/Dana say after Diaz vs. McGregor 1?

I've gotta give ESPN some props for what they've done with their boxing content lately. That Pacquiao/Horn fight was fantastic. I got to watch Lomachenko for the first time and he put on on show. Now we have Terence Crawford fighting tomorrow night. Great stuff.

As most of you know, I'm an MMA guy primarily, but I enjoy watching good fights regardless of the sport. Keep putting quality guys on the network and I'll keep tuning in.

he probably won't but i'm just waiting to hear his excuses for not knocking him out after the fight....but to be honest, if he does, it would be a good thing because at least that would mean there will be some action in the fight. i'd love to see the odds on a floyd knockout or conor going the distance.....

Conor actually didnt say much when it came to excuses. Most of the stuff he said was that he didnt train specifically for Diaz because Diaz took the fight on 3 weeks notice. He pretty much blamed himself and then demanded a rematch at WW when he couldve either forced the rematch to be at LW (Diaz's main weight and Conor's favorite weight) or gone back down to FW and defended his belt against Frankie Edgar (who is a decent draw).

The post fight "excuse" will be the truth. Floyd is a legendary boxer. Conor was trying to test himself and he lost to a legendary boxer.

Mcgregor decision is plus 2000 and Floyd KO ranges from plus 600 to plus 400.

A Mayweather decision is probably the most likely outcome. Conor is not used to fighting 36 minutes so if he fights the way I think he will he will most likely run out of gas before the tenth round. Mayweather might manage a TKO but a knockout might happen. At any rate don't expect Mayweather to put himself in a position to get knocked out. He wants the 50-0 as flawed as counting this fight in his record might be.

If Connor fights like he normally does, he'll be gassed by round 3.

If Conor whimpers like a girl from body shots from marshmallow puncher Paulie Floyd might consider that area to fatigue him even more.

Most of you know but heads up anyhow:

Tonight on ESPN (9 PM-11:30 PM CST):

                        Crawford-Indongo
                        Oleksandr Gvozdyk/Craig Baker

Bryant Jennings will fight for the first time in one year and eight months still recuperating from the Ortiz loss?? I'm not sure if his comeback fight will be televised.

it all depends on conor's defense or elusiveness....if it's bad, it could be over early. however, both fighters are counter punchers by nature. so that means a lot of waiting for each other to throw, which could result in a snoozefest. conor's best bet is to be somewhat elusive and be very accurate with his punches if he does connect. it will be critical that he doesn't waste punches since that would tire him even more quickly. he has zero chance at a decision. if he catches floyd and hurts him, he has to finish him as quickly as possible. floyd has never been in serious trouble, so putting him in untraveled waters will be conor's only chance.

So I just watched McGregor's Media Workout vid.

This will be a TKO..book it.

It was embarrassing to say the least. The guy did 12 3-minute rounds vs. a heavy bag. He was gassed and sloppy not too far in.

At this point I don't even feel sorry for the people spending money on this.

                            They should know better.
