The 60,000 tickets at Wembley sold out in 90 minutes, with hopes that another 20,000 will be available through what I'm assuming is added/temporary seating. The Sky PPV could exceed $30 million.

So I watched the fight on YouTube yesterday, and although Froch was given a gift early stoppage and inexplicably close scores on two of the judges' cards (down only 65-67, despite losing 6 of the first 8 rounds, and being knocked down in the first round), he took all those big right hands by Groves and hurt him in the 9th. Check out the video. Keep in mind both fighters were getting hit. The stoppage comes at about the 49 second mark.

    The rematch is May 31st.

wow, that was a travesty of a stoppage. Holy smokes!

Just came across this Rob. This is one of the things Garcia told Grey at the ringside interview. I saw this at Bad Left Hook.

"I think making 140 pounds might have affected my performance a little bit. I need to sit with my camp and see if I should go up to 147 and start a new journey. It's been getting a little hard so maybe I need to think about moving up."

This isn't really about any upcoming boxing matches, just boxing in general.

I think i may have managed to find another actual boxing place here(it's so hard to find legit boxing places, the 2 good places i went to for a bit closed down). I was at the gym and i saw this guy shadow boxing, and his form looked good, i could tell he actually boxed. So i asked the dude if he boxed, and he said yeah, and told me about a boxing place pretty close to where i live at. It's free and apparently they're pretty good, they supposedly have a top 20 heavy weight who they trained over there. Can't wait to check this place out. I'm gonna go next week. I'm skipping weights and only doing cardio this week, definitely gonna need it!

it's one of the absolute best things to know if someone tries to eff with you and gives you no choice! It can't hurt at all to know something new.

I wonder why I continue to support this sport:
Light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson's move to Showtime brings an end to any immediate hope of a can't-miss superfight against Sergey Kovalev. But who's to blame?

Stevenson took a deal with Showtime, and HBO, which had the right to match, declined on Tuesday, pretty much killing the fight. It's dead for this year and probably forever.
This was a MUST see fight. A fight that boxing desperately needed to happen.
Now it's like Jr and Pac.
By the time it happens, one, or both fighters will be a shadow of what they are right now.

I hope in my lifetime this sport is cleaned up and regulated properly.
There are way too many pimps and pushers controlling every aspect of this sport.
It's almost as if the powers-that-be are going out of their way to piss on the fans.

^That's a damn shame, but hey, on the bright side, at least maybe now that means stevenson vs hopkins is possible, and that's a very interesting fight.

I will never understand how Ken Hershman got the HBO job. When he was running Showtime they were terrible for fights and HBO was killing it. Within two years of him running things at HBO their boxing is in shambles. It makes no sense to me.

Kovalev looked very strong, but a little more vulnerable in this fight. Wasn't that a jab to the body that ended Agnew?

Kovalez has some problems, like finding a decent opponent on the HBO side of the 175 pound ledger.

Yeah, i saw that fight. Actually while kovalev did his job, that agnew kid kinda impressed me. For a guy with no big fights whatsoever, he held his own somewhat. Kovalev should fight jean pascal, that'd be an interesting fight and it would at least be a bigger name for him.

                              Hmmm...So this happened last night.

Curtis Stevens was outclassed and beaten up most of the night, but scored a comeback TKO in the final minute against Tureano Johnson, with the stoppage one that deserves to be questioned.

Steven's big left hook happens around 6:57.

Hmmm...maybe too early, but that second strong left hook that knocks Johnson into the ropes, makes me wonder.

I think Bradley is trying to set Pacquiao up to be countered. Pacquiao was always a counterpuncher's dream especially if you have pop in your punches.
An aggressive Pacquiao plays into Bradley's hands. Bradley also could be setting himself up for failure.
